Dennis Benigno started in 2001 as a New Jersey corrections officer at nineteen. He moved to the U.S. Park Police in D.C., then to patrol in one of Jersey's largest municipalities. DiMino (Mike DiMino ⬟) as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Middle East), might not be a household name to many (he was, after all, a former CIA analyst, so in the shadows by design, lol), but he is one of the most solid officials Donald J. Trump has appointed. After the round he said he feels as good as he has in 9 years and then went into more detail about why: “It's physically and my mechanics. I got pretty off for a long time. I've been trying to build it back, and then I'd compensate and do what worked. “This last off-season I said no more compensating because, to be consistent, I've got to get it back to a certain place, and it's been work from then to try to get there. It's all in mechanics and health.” He then detailed what part of his game worked well in the 62: “It was putting today. I've been driving the ball the best of my life, and I drove it horribly today, like really badly. But putting was -- to go to your actual question, putting was the best. “I felt fluid with it. I felt like I -- in what I've been trying to do, I've been trying to put it all together. I know what needs to happen, but putting it all together into a fluid stroke and then being able to be outwardly focused has been the goal. “I felt like last night I did a really good job out here of that being the goal, find that, and then carry it into this morning and then trust it on the course. “Frankly, I mean, I told Michael -- I've been telling Michael for a while. Today Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to withdraw his infamous school board memo targeting parents. He said there was "absolutely nothing wrong with the memo" – even though his own FBI Director has testified there was "no compelling nationwide law enforcement justification" for it. Garland claimed he issued the memo in 2021 based on sporadic "reports in the press" of threats to school personnel. Yet he could provide no data to support his claim of an increase in threats, and Director Wray directly contradicted it in his testimony. The true reason for the memo is that the Administration saw the growing parents movement as a force for change in American education and a threat to its own power. Garland thus invented a pretext to turn law enforcement powers on American parents and discourage their participation in the political process. It is one of the most disgraceful abuses of power in American history and a window into what is driving decision-making at the current Department of Justice.

This is a 2011 video of James Peck, Professor of History at NYU, author of "Ideal Illusions, How the U.S. Government Co-opted Human Rights" and one of the keenest observers of China in the U.S. He explains that actually, when it comes to "human rights" in China, Western backing of the various individuals and movements is "a serious mistake". For instance he makes the stunning claim that before the 1989 Tiananmen events he went to "a soirée" at the American embassy and "it was filled with the people who later became very prominent in Tiananmen." He remarks that the way to understand this is to "imagine a comparable contrast in this country where Americans were busily associating with people in a foreign embassy" and then attempting a revolution... I have zero doubt in my mind that if China or Russia made interference efforts in the US similar to those the US makes in their countries, the US would undoubtedly become an incredibly more dystopian surveillance and security state than it is today, and much more "authoritarian" than China or Russia have ever been. In way, this is what the PRC has always been telling the world: "no foreign interference". But we've always doubled down in this profound mistake, which in the end helps absolutely no-one. We always comes back to the all-important golden rule: "Do not do unto others what you wouldn't like done unto you".

Matthew spent six years in the Navy as a Search and Rescue swimmer. Then fifteen years as a cop — Virginia Beach, then undercover narcotics in New Hampshire during the opioid epidemic. He worked under a different name for years. He wrote a book, The Journey to Midnight, about the night he planned to kill himself. Now he talks to cops and veterans about it. This one covers why suicide is so high in law enforcement and the military. Trauma stacks up and you never get the time to process it. The "unfit for duty" label that ends careers, so nobody asks for help. A fatal wreck on Route 101. A man who shot himself three feet away. The most successful traders and investors are gonna be in a drawdown most of the time. Like even this year, even though I'm up at least 500%, I've spent half of the year in a drawdown, at least. So expecting to be like peak equity all the time, it's just not gonna happen. You're gonna spend most of your time in a drawdown, even on a really good year. That's just how it works. You just need to realize it and you need to accept it. Look at something like AMZN, one of the best stocks like ever, in the history of the world. It's up what? 200,000% since the IPO. Now look at the amount of time it's been in a drawdown. out of the 23 years it's been public, it was in a drawdown for 15 years. NFLX out of 8 years, it has been in a drawdown almost half of the time. Being in a drawdown is normal. It’s not an anomaly. The question is how big of a drawdown are you gonna be in. I try to limit my drawdowns to 10-15% but sometimes they become more severe than that. Drawdowns, it's the nature of the game. If you want to have big returns, you are going to have drawdowns. If you don't have drawdowns, it means you don't take any risk. And if you don't take any risk, you won't have any returns.”

In July 2024, an autonomous deep-sea drone reached the floor of the Brownson Deep, the lowest point of the entire Atlantic Ocean, and its cameras captured three things at the same time.
