This was made known in a statement by the Head, Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Thursday. The viral video showed EFCC officials invading the Annex and Regional hotels, both owned by the same person, around 4am on June 27, while guests were asleep. The officers reportedly fired shots, injured customers, and arrested some persons. Hotel staff alleged that the officials broke into rooms, assaulted guests and workers, and took away ATM cards, money, and phones. CCTV footage shows officials breaking into the manager's room, where they were seen pushing and slapping her before taking personal items from a drawer. According to the statement by the EFCC, the officers were part of a sting operation at Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos, which resulted in several arrests. Hyderabad - A hotel employee was allegedly assaulted by guests after he insisted on Aadhaar cards as identity proof while they were booking a room at Living Tree Suites in Bharat Nagar. The incident took place when staff member Akash requested the mandatory identification documents from the guests as part of the standard check-in procedure. According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused reacted aggressively, attacked Akash on the head, and allegedly said, “We are locals. How dare you ask us for ID proof?” Akash sustained injuries in the assault and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital by his colleagues for medical treatment. Police, Customs, and military personnel clashed in Bawku yesterday, with several warning shots fired over a misunderstanding regarding a Kia Rhino truck suspected of illegally transporting cocoa to a neighboring country. The police officers were transporting the vehicle to their station under the instruction of their commander when they were intercepted by Customs officers, who insisted on taking over the vehicle and sending it to Pulmakom. The police officers maintained that they could not release the vehicle to the Customs officers, as they were only following orders from their commander.
