Another scene that simply broke our hearts... From the beginning, showing their intertwined hands as they lay in each other's embrace, to the end of the scene where they lovingly hold each other and Anil gently kisses Pin's forehead, with their inevitable separation looming over them, the chemistry between #FreenBecky is incredibly powerful and emotionally charged. Their ability to convey deep feelings like sadness, longing, and heartbreak is magnetic, drawing us, the audience, into the intensity of the scene. From Pin holding back tears, her voice quivering as she tells Anil she doesn’t want to close her eyes because the next day Anil won’t be there, to Anil sadly gazing into Pin’s eyes, trying to stay strong for her while taking a deep breath to suppress her emotions and lovingly reassuring Pin that she will be back soon and to wait for her, their chemistry made these emotions palpable and believable. They perfectly complement each other, with one actress feeding off the energy of the other, making their relationship feel authentic and immersive. Roman architecture is at centre of Europe’s visual allure. Sophisticated Roman structures have survived hundreds of centuries without renovation... In 103 AD Roman engineer Apollodorus of Damascus built a 1.1km bridge from stone and wood. Trajan’s Bridge was 19m from surface of river, 15m wide and capable of supporting the weight of hundreds of traversing Roman soldiers. It was only a few feet shorter than Sydney harbour bridge. Romans built a lot of West’s longest standing buildings. They were also the first civilisation to make bridges from concrete. Some of these ancient bridges stand now as they did day they were built. This is thanks to the structural innovations that were first used by Romans. And innovations that eventually helped shape contemporary bridge engineering. Alcántara Bridge is such a bridge, standing in Spain since 104 AD. Roman civil engineer Caius Julius Lacer was the man behind the bridge. His tomb stands nearby, with an epitaph that reads “I leave a bridge forever in the centuries of the world”. He wasn’t wrong. There is a rumour doing the rounds on web that Roman engineers in charge of building bridges had to stand beneath them as scaffolding was removed. Apparently, trepidation of tonnes of rock and debris falling and crushing you lead to some pretty tight structural planning. A more likely history is found in Roman Empire’s military expansion. To improve Roman access lines the empire formed guilds of skilled workers and thinkers who shared ideas and building principles. These early engineering guilds made important discoveries in structural design, in the materials and in the piers that supported the legs of the bridges. Romans had improved traditional footbridge by creating a bridge that maintained its structural integrity through the centre. To achieve this the Romans did not rely on steel beams running through the stone members, but instead on the tensile strength of the stones themselves. The shape of the arch allowed the bricks to be inserted at a curved angle until they joined at the peak of the arch with a keystone. This keystone was shaped as a trapezoid that used the weight of the stone and concrete in the bridge to compress the tapered stones together. This pressure formed a structure in the arch that required a tremendous amount of force to rupture. Where traditional bridges were at their weakest in the centre, the arch was at its strongest. Arch was a structural innovation in building design. But it wasn’t only thing Roman Empire contributed to construction. Romans were also unique in the materials they chose to build with. A natural cement called pozzolana was used by Romans as mortar for piers (legs) of their bridges. Not only is this cement said to be ecologically cleaner than today’s cement mixtures, but its also a cement that grows stronger over time. Pozzolana is still used in some countries. It’s made by combining two parts pozzolana (which is a type of slag that forms naturally from volcanic rock) with one part powdered lime. As early as 3rd Century BC, Romans used pozzolana instead of sand in concrete in their construction. This gave their structures supreme strength and stability. As not every bridge built by Romans had luxury of building its piers on land, Romans used cofferdams where the piers would fall within a body of water. Romans used cofferdam as temporary structure that allowed construction of a bridge pier in a space of water. Cofferdams that were used by Romans were simpler than ones used in contemporary construction, but their function is identical. First, Romans would dig a ring of timber logs into river bed. They would then fill gaps between logs with clay for waterproofing, before pumping water from inside circle of logs. Upon newly dry riverbed, Romans would construct pozzolana and stone piers. #TheNextPrinceEP7 the score mood placement was genius & the build up was everything. it's like your heart's thumping along with it 😂 the first half of the scene started intense (1-3), viewers could feel the tension building up. they probably wanted to portray how they're feeling (especially Charan), on their forbidden relationship between the Prince & his guard. a lot of hesitation, adrenaline, "I shouldn't be doing this", as he's still in his guard uniform, clearly showing the difference in their ranks but still holding that passionate feeling they're sharing at that moment. the bgm changed once charan took off his uniform and took his first move. it's as if he left his status, rank, and duty behind. Moonlight Magic marks a change of mood from hesitation & tension to pure longing love, no more prince & guard, it's just Charan & Khanin. it was so good, i hope they'll release a full album of OST including the orchestra and such, I love it.

🏛️ Beneath the Roman Forum lies one of Christianity’s most powerful hidden treasures: the Mamertine Prison. Over 2,600 years old, this is Rome’s oldest prison. Built in the 7th century BC (around 640–616 BC) by King Ancus Marcius as a cistern, it was later turned into a grim holding cell for Rome’s most dangerous enemies awaiting execution. According to ancient Christian tradition, Saints Peter and Paul were both imprisoned here before their martyrdom under Emperor Nero (c. 64–68 AD). Why here? It was the main state prison for high-profile threats to Roman power. The apostles’ “crime”? Refusing to worship the Emperor as a god. Legend tells that while chained in the damp lower dungeon (the Tullianum), St. Peter miraculously caused a spring of water to flow so he could baptize fellow prisoners and even their guards. Tradition holds that St. Paul wrote his final epistle, 2 Timothy, from this very prison during his second Roman imprisonment. Other letters may have been composed or finalized here or nearby. From this sacred spot, Peter was led to his upside-down crucifixion on Vatican Hill, and Paul to his beheading outside the city. For more than 1,300 years, pilgrims have descended these steps to pray where the two great Apostles of Christ spent their final days. It remains a place of profound reflection on faith, suffering, and ultimate triumph. A powerful reminder that light can shine even in the darkest places. My video, taken for you. Punch was peacefully sleeping, leaning against Grandpa, feeling safe and comforted. Then Momiage came over for milk. The moment Punch sensed her arrival, he seemed to understand the situation. Without making a fuss, he quietly turned away, sat by himself, shrank into a tiny ball, and wore the saddest little face. 🥺😭 Watching that scene makes my heart ache every time. The silence in Punch's eyes said more than words ever could. But Grandpa noticed everything. Understanding Punch's feelings, he gently groomed him, offering comfort and reassurance without saying a word. It's amazing how thoughtful and emotionally mature these animals can be. Their actions speak volumes. Punch's quiet acceptance, Grandpa's warm gesture, and the unspoken understanding between them created such a touching moment. #SundayMusing - THE POLITICAL STRATEGY OF DEMONISING NASIR EL-RUFAI - by: Dr Uche Diala - Part 1 Many people are sitting down and allowing some vested interests to be gaslighting them against a man, Nasir El-Rufai, whose only sin is to be intelligently and intellectually gifted by God, to be conscious of it and using it without fear, favor or pandering to advance the cause of society including theirs. Some of my brethren from Southern Kaduna, with all due respect and appreciation of their documented long standing issues and dynamics, are buying and swallowing, hook, line and sinker, the narratives from their new found lovers that El-Rufai is demonic and evil, without pondering over their fate over history and time, even long before Nasir El-Rufai appeared on the scene, and placing them side by side to determine factually and objectively, how truly worse or better El-Rufai was for their cause and fate. I do not want to mention some of my APC brethren to whom El-Rufai has suddenly transformed from hero to villain, simply because he told us some hard truths about our party; truths which most of us know and some have equally voiced out. Tragically, some say, not unexpectedly, some of my brethren from the South East, many of whom have never crossed River Niger to the North, have already jumped in the fray and joined in the bandwagon of 'he hates Igbos and Christians' 'El-Rufai is evil', etc., much the same way they did to Buhari, without any sensible proof and without pondering over the motive of those orchestrating and feeding them such narrative. No lesson having been learnt. For a man whose watch word as Minister for FCT was excellence. Or did anyone hear that he favored any particular tribe or religion while he went about restoring the Abuja masterplan as its Minister? I have been in the FCT and I know firsthand. Put your ears to the ground, beyond the hype and the noise and hear stories about today. A man who as Governor of the cosmopolitan Kaduna state engaged Nigerians - Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa, Christian and Muslim and men and women alike, so long as they could add value to his governance of the state. Including many of those joining betrayers and ungrateful elements to castigate him today. I was not one of them, but I can't in good conscience pretend that I did not know. A man who inspite of his limitations as chief security officer of the state on paper, understood that security was paramount to delivering his mandate for the people who elected him and who God temporarily placed him in authority over. He was tough on every part, North and South alike, when need was. For him, criminality was criminality, no matter who orchestrated it. That is not to say that he was a saint or made no mistakes, but he who is a saint among us and of no sin, should cast the first stone. Compare and contrast your own state and state Governor with Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s Kaduna state and El-Rufai as a Governor. Unfortunately, the increasing tragedy of our politics today, is that it blurs the lines between common sense and nonsense, truth and lies, friends and frenemies and reality and illusions; making heroes out of villains and vice versa, making many to defend who and what they like and not what is right, and making people to embrace those they should sensibly avoid like a plague and to hate those they should ordinarily love and vice versa.

Who will the next Pope be? On Halloween, 2023, I suddenly awoke with a strong premonition that it would be Cardinal Pizzaballa of Jerusalem. Now this was odd because I had never even heard of him before until about a week earlier when he was made a cardinal by Pope Francis. I felt so strongly about this that I was compelled to post it on X as a record of what I had felt (I was even given the thought that I should do it at that moment so that the algorithm could pick it up and the news could get out there). It sounds crazy, but considering that some members of my family were known to have an intuitive, almost psychic natures to them, perhaps these same cosmic forces were then prompting me with their portents. #Euphoria #Season3Episode3 “You love who you love” Contrary to popular belief, Nate truly seems to love Cassie and accepts her with all her crazy antics. In this clip, she publicly humiliates him but he still tries to placate her. Yes, this doesn’t seem like the Nate we knew, but isn’t he? He wanted to be loved but his dynamic with Cal was so toxic, he felt unlovable. Lashed out in anger for lack of expression otherwise. Maddy’s feisty ways did nothing to nurture the broken child in him. They had a horrible relationship because neither could heal the other’s real wounds. Both he and Cassie betrayed their best friends and seemed to find something in each other that made them feel loved. As broken and flawed their story might be, as Nate tells Jules “you love who you love”. We had plenty of hints that the night of this incredible wedding party was going to end in total chaos. Nate is caught between a rock and a hard place. He truly wants to build an honest life, but as an entrepreneur myself, I fully empathize with his business struggles and the financial hole he is in. He has to maintain a mask of competence so that he doesn’t lose investor confidence in the business. Bureaucratic shenanigans in real estate coupled with high interest rates, especially in California where building codes are increasingly debilitating, have led to many bankruptcies and foreclosures in the construction business. An endangered flower like the white fritillaries in a construction zone can bring a project to a grinding halt, putting jobs, livelihoods and businesses at risk. The balance between conservation and progress in California is reaching unhealthy proportions. Nate’s business woes are not rooted in him wanting to con people. And yet, he now has to face the consequences of this thin line he has been walking to maintain investor confidence versus cutting visible corners so he could better manage his costs. Cassie refused to understand this and so he caved to her demands and puts on a more lavish wedding than he could afford. The cinematic choice of Nate getting beaten to a pulp while she wails about her bloody nose is such a typical “Crazy Cassie” thing to do! The key is in what Naz tells her: “Some women inherit wealth but other inherit debt”. Watch her turn to Alamo/Silver Slippers so that she is truly next to Nate for “richer or poorer”. Regardless of her melodrama about not wanting to be poor (thanks to her mother’s incessant poisoning of the well), Cassie’s biggest desire in life is to be loved. And for better or for worse, Cassie & Nate have taken the vows to be there for each other. I predict she goes out into the world to make money in ways she knows how, to service this debt she’s inherited as Mrs. Jacobs. I know Jacob and Sydney will push the limits of their characters caught in these ludicrous scenarios. I am seated for this! Maddy’s uncomfortable presence at the wedding, Marsha’s jabs at her, her witnessing the love Nate & Cassie seem to have for each other, are beautifully and painfully captured by Alexa. She truly owns her role as Maddy, who is a pro at faking it till she makes it. She’s hurt by the life she didn’t get but she should feel blessed about making an honest living where she stands on her own. Being rich is a nice aspiration but sometimes the prices to be paid are too high. Nate is now dismembered from the desire to maintain their affluent status. Jules’ plot is tragic. The character who seems to have the most sense of self in high school, who whole heartedly and unapologetically embraced her queerness, is now a walking shell with no sense of integrity. It will be interesting to see what Sam imagines for her to reclaim herself again. Rue navigating this new world of crime is a challenging role for Zendaya she’s knocking out of the ball park. I know she’s just getting started. Looking forward to more of her sassy, gender bending antics as her plot unfolds. Loving this season!!

I had the thrill of a lifetime getting to sing backup for Monte Warden at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday. I feel like I've been floating for days. My husband and I have been huge fans of Monte -- an absolute Texas legend -- for years. He has two great bands -- the Wagoneers and The Dangerous Few. We've seen both at their Austin residencies (at the famous Broken Spoke and Parker Jazz Club, respectively) and in other locales. I got to be backstage last year when he performed solo at the Opry. It's weird to have an inanimate object give off such an energy as the Opry stage does. Everyone who matters has sung from there and you can totally feel that. The crowd on Saturday night was AWESOME. They were there to have fun and be entertained and had a great energy also. It was the anniversary of Elvis's death so Monte sang the two songs Elvis performed at the Opry in 1954 -- Blue Moon of Kentucky and That's All Right. Elvis received a famously tough reception, with the crowd thinking he was way too rock n' roll for a country music stage. As he left the stage, one guy told him he should probably just go back to Memphis and keep driving a truck. He would never perform there again. Monte told the crowd he hoped for a better reception and boy did they provide. Monte also performed a spiritual he wrote with his beautiful wife Brandi (who also sang BGV and is one of my favorite people on earth) called Steadfast Love. And we got to sing back up on that as well. Legends T. Graham Brown and Don Schlitz played that night as did newer artists Jordan Davis and Kylie Morgan -- it was so fun to meet them and watch them from backstage. Also this absolutely phenomenal bluegrass kid named Wyatt Ellis. We got ready in Porter Wagoner's old dressing room, decorated with photos of his career and some of his famous garb. Monte joked that night to the crowd that if you ever get the opportunity to perform at the Opry, you should do so. I COULD NOT agree more. Here's a bit of us singing Steadfast Love.

PD's thoughts after watching ENHYPEN's Killing Voice: • Thinks Moonstruck is one of their best songs ever • Heeseung was the MVP • His top 3 vocalists: Heeseung, Jay, and Jake (in that order) • Heeseung is clearly in a league of his own. He's a savant when it comes to singing and just on a whole other level compared to the rest of the members • He feels like Jay could easily be the main vocalist in another group. It just so happens he's in a group with someone like Heeseung. • He really likes Jake's voice (might be his bias). He was especially happy to hear the "Got me bad bad bad" part in Bite Me without all the autotune and effects. • Sunoo's vocal range is crazy, but he wants to hear more from him. (He did mention in his Bad Desire reaction that he'd love to see Sunoo on LMJ service) • Described Jungwon and Sunghoon as yin and yang. Sunghoon adds a heavy, grounded presence to the vocal topline with his thick tone and accent, while Jungwon is the total opposite. His voice is light, bold, sharp, and brings a clean edge. Together, they add really unique textures to the group's sound. • As for Ni-ki, he said Ni-ki is the perfect example of "Just because you're not in the center doesn't mean people aren't watching". It's like he sees he only has 5sec and decides to make it the most memorable 5sec of the whole song. He always brings these intense, standout moments. • Believes ENHYPEN is a powerful group because all members are outstanding vocalists • Described them as a great vocal-driven group • Hopes to see another member appear on Lee Mujin Service He also shared his personal thoughts on each member's vocal strengths and weaknesses and how that connects to their line distribution but I'll leave that part out since it might be a little sensitive for some. 😅

Over 1.5 million Muslim pilgrims are performing Hajj this year. When Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) performed Hajj in 1964, he wrote “Letters from Mecca.” This is one of those letters: Never have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and the overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as practiced by people of all colors and races here in this Ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham, Muhammad and all other prophets of the Holy Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors. I have been blessed to visit the Holy City of Mecca. I have made my seven circuits around the Ka’ba, led by a young Mutawaf named Muhammad. I drank water from the well of Zem Zem. I ran seven times back and forth between the hills of Mt. Al-Safa and Al-Marwah. I have prayed in the ancient city of Mina, and I have prayed on Mt. Arafat. There were tens of thousands of pilgrims, from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blonds to black skin Africans. But we were all participating in the same rituals, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood that my experiences in America had lead me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white. America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people who in America would have considered ‘white’, but the ‘white’ attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color. You may be shocked by these words coming from me. But on this pilgrimage, what I have seen, and experienced, has forced me to re-arrange much of my thought patterns previously held, and to toss aside some of my previous conclusions. This was not too difficult for me. Despite my firm convictions, I have always been a man who tries to face facts, and to accept the reality of life as new experiences and new knowledge unfolds it. I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand with every form of intelligent search for truth. During the past eleven days here in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk from the same glass, and slept in the same bed, (or on the same rug), while praying to the same God, with fellow Muslims, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, whose hair was the blondest of blond, and whose skin was the whitest of white. And in the same words and in the actions and in the deeds of the ‘white’ Muslims, I felt the same sincerity that I felt among the black African Muslims of Nigeria, Sudan and Ghana. We were truly all the same (brothers), because their belief in one God had removed the ‘white’ from their minds, the ‘white’ from their behavior, and the ‘white’ from their attitude. I could see from this, that perhaps if white Americans could accept the Oneness of God, then perhaps, too, they could accept in reality the Oneness of Man, and cease to measure, and hinder, and harm others in terms of their differences in color. With racism plaguing America like an incurable cancer, the so-called ‘Christian’ white American heart should be more receptive to a proven solution to such a destructive problem. Perhaps it could be in time to save America from imminent disaster, the same destruction brought upon Germany by racism that eventually destroyed the Germans themselves. 1/2

And yet the Sonny and Tom Hagen argument, with Michael quietly watching from the corner, might be one of the best scenes in the entire Godfather. In just a few minutes, it shows three completely different versions of Corleone leadership sitting in the same room. Sonny is all fire. He wants revenge immediately, and every line out of his mouth already sounds halfway to war. Funny, childish, loyal, furious, impulsive, dangerous - all at once. James Caan gives you the entire character in a single scene: the love, the rage, the ego, the total inability to slow down. Tom is the opposite. Calm, controlled, almost painfully rational. Sonny insults him, pushes him, cranks up the temperature of the room, and Tom never breaks. He doesn't need to raise his voice because he understands the situation better than anyone in it. War is exactly what their enemies are hoping for. That's why Sonny's silence after Tom scolds him actually matters. He doesn't fire back. He might explode at everyone else in his life, but not at Tom. Blood or not, Tom is family. And then there's Michael. He barely says a word, and the scene still works because of him. He's the younger brother watching two forms of power collide in real time - Sonny's emotion against Tom's calculation. In that room, Michael quietly clocks why Sonny is too volatile to ever lead, and why Tom, brilliant as he is, could never fully command the family the way Vito does. That's the real genius of the scene. It's not just two brothers arguing. It's the future of the entire Corleone family being decided, quietly, before Michael even realizes he's watching it happen.

Trying to catch up on the entire interview with Heart Radio but absolutely LOVING the segment of him gushing about Catherine and the children❤️ His entire demeanor and body is very relaxed when he talks about them and you can tell he cherishes and adores them to pieces👌🏽 I love him imitating Catherine asking "Where is my husband?"😚 Of Course he is proud of Catherine, what husband would not be if she were his wife?
