On the afternoon of Thursday, December 29, 2022, shortly before 2:00 p.m., Riverside County Sheriffโ€™s Deputy Isaiah Cordero initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3900 block of Golden West Avenue in Jurupa Valley. As Deputy Cordero approached the vehicle, the driver, William Shae McKay, produced a handgun and fatally shot him. McKay then fled the scene. A witness called 911, and nearby residents attempted to assist Deputy Cordero until law enforcement and paramedics arrived. A massive manhunt involving Riverside and San Bernardino County agencies followed. McKay was located in San Bernardino County, sparking a vehicle pursuit that returned to Riverside County. Spike strips were successfully deployed on the 60 Freeway, but the vehicle continued. It eventually became disabled on the 15 Freeway in Norco after a single-vehicle collision. McKay fired at deputies, who returned fire and killed him. McKay had an extensive violent criminal history, including kidnapping, multiple assaults with deadly weapons, and involvement in the 2021 stabbing of a CHP K9. He was free on bail pending sentencing after San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Cara D. Hutson convicted him of kidnapping and assault (his third strike). Hutson released him on bail, and again after he failed to appear for his original sentencing date. The family of Deputy Cordero and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco called for Judge Hutson to resign. She refused and remains a judge of the Superior Court of San Bernardino County. The murderer William McKay was shot by Sheriffโ€™s deputies 6 times to the head and neck, in addition to being shot an additional 6 times in his torso. The Sheriffs were not taking him alive. Can you blame them?

Quick thinking #DCSO deputies catch another auto theft suspect. On Monday night, patrol deputies responded to a report of an in-progress vehicle theft on Mill Vista Road in Highlands Ranch. Responding deputies quickly established a perimeter and began searching the area. The vehicle was located, occupied, in a parking garage on Mill Vista Road. Upon observing law enforcement in the area, the suspect vehicle attempted to back out of a parking space. The deputy activated the patrol vehicle's emergency lights and pulled forward to signal the suspect to stop. The suspect vehicle accelerated forward, scraping, and colliding with the front passenger side push bumper of the patrol vehicle. The vehicle ran a stop sign and sped away. Deputies pursued the vehicle for a short distance, and the suspect vehicle spun out of control and rolled backwards into a metal railing, where it was pinned in place by deputies. The suspect, later identified as Armon Chism (DOB: 05/15/1982), of Denver, fled from the vehicle, and a short foot pursuit was initiated by pursuing deputies. The suspect was placed into custody after a successful taser deployment. While conducting their investigation, deputies were able to establish probable cause that Chism was a suspect in an earlier vehicle pursuit of a stolen Hyundai Tucson at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and County Line Road. Chism was found to be in possession of the stolen Hyundai ignition key and the vehicle was recovered nearby. Chism was booked into the Douglas County Jail for investigation of Motor Vehicle Theft, Vehicular Eluding, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Protection Order Violation, and Criminal Impersonation. Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly said, โ€œWe will not allow criminals to victimize Douglas County residents. We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community will continue to work tirelessly to protect our residents and their property. I am so proud of my deputies who responded quickly and didnโ€™t give up until this suspect was in custody.โ€

Tyrant officer gets schooled on 4th amendment and what private property is. He does the walk of shame with nothing to say. This Yolo County Sheriff's Deputy learned the hard way that stepping onto private property without your facts straight can lead to a masterclass in constitutional rightsโ€”and a legendary chewing out! Watch this standoff unfolds between a homeowner and a Yolo County Deputy (Badge #160) who decided to roll up onto land he wasn't invited on. The officer claimed he was investigating a suspicious vehicle at a home under construction, demanding that the man inside identify himself. โ€‹But this homeowner wasn't having any of it. โ€‹He immediately flipped the script on the deputy, pointing out the absolute lack of legal ground the officer was standing on. Nobody called 911 to have this man checked on, nobody reported a crime, and the deputy had zero confirmation of who actually owned the property before demanding ID. The property owner stood his ground, completely shutting down the officer's overreach by demanding he get off the land instead. โ€‹Once the homeowner stepped out of his vehicle and firmly established that it was his land, the deputy realized he had absolutely nothing to hold him on. With his investigation completely dismantled, the officer was forced to turn around and walk back to his cruiser. โ€‹To top it all off, the property owner sent him packing with a high-energy, unforgettable tirade, capping it all off by shouting that his intense vibe was fueled by nothing more than "500 calories of M&Ms, dude!" This is text book 101 of how to stand up for your rights when you have an officer that has overreached to this level. โ€‹Dude went scorched the earth on this deputy.
