Ignore, the fake news. My position has not changed. I oppose CAB3 as a citizen, as a lawyer and as a Member of Parliament. We are escalating our efforts to build a force of MPs that will radically resist CAB3 as it makes its way to Parliament. If I am chairing anything, it is the RESISTANCE!

WATCH | As 31 July draws closer, more people are speaking out against the planned peaceful protests. They are warning would-be protesters that the opportunity to oppose #CAB3 was before it was signed into law, arguing that the time for protests has passed. They say #CAB3 is now part of Zimbabwe’s Constitution and that anyone who takes part in protests against it will face the full force of the law.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗭𝗔𝗡𝗨 𝗣𝗙 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗔𝗕𝟯. 𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗, 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘. The difference between me and most others is that I don’t take things personally. Dr. Paul Tungwarara, Wicknell, other members of ZANU PF, and the Varakashi fought for CAB3 to go through. They put up a strong fight and succeeded. We lost, but it’s not the end of the world. Yes, I did not support CAB3 from an ideological perspective, but now that it has been passed, we leave it to the courts while we as citizens unite beyond our differences and start to build our country. What is ironic is that before and during CAB3, many business opportunities opened up for me in Zimbabwe over the past seven years, making the business trajectory bright. So despite differing ideologically, the Second Republic has made economic sense for me commercially. So I have made a decision: Congratulations to the CAB3 team! It’s time we put our differences aside, unite, and build this commonwealth that we call Zimbabwe. I refuse to die on the mountain of resisting CAB3, because this government has made doing business in Zimbabwe feasible. We have done all we could to contest differing political positions, but the reality is CAB3 is now law. It’s time to build Zimbabwe, which has honestly opened huge opportunities for those who want to make money.

HOLY SMOKES. This is absolutely insane. South Korea has plunged into a full-blown dystopian crisis. The military is breaking into Parliament, smashing windows, and attempting to storm the National Assembly. Why? Because Parliament just voted unanimously to lift martial law—a desperate move to reclaim democracy. But the military isn’t having it. They’ve openly threatened to “suspend” Parliament if it “causes social confusion.” Let that sink in: a government trying to restore freedom is being silenced at gunpoint. This is the first martial law declaration since 1979, when it preceded the infamous Gwangju Uprising. President Yoon Suk Yeol’s justification? He claims it’s to stop “anti-state forces,” conveniently framing the opposition party as pro-North Korean “leftists.” This isn’t about protecting the nation; it’s about consolidating power. Martial law is being weaponized to suppress dissent and control the media. South Korea is standing on the edge of authoritarianism, and the world is watching. If this doesn’t scream dystopia, I don’t know what does.

#WATCH | BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, "How can you give direction to the appointing authority? The President appoints the Chief Justice of India. The Parliament makes the law of this country. You will dictate that Parliament?... How did you make a new law? In which law is it written that the President has to take a decision within three months? This means that you want to take this country towards anarchy. When the Parliament sits, there will be a detailed discussion on this..."

This is going to be verrrry interesting. 🚨 President Trump said he is thinking about leaving NATO and he doesn’t need Congressional Approval to do it What’s interesting is that within the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act, passed by Congress and signed into law by then President Biden, it expressly forbids the US President from unilaterally leaving NATO. Null and void I’m thinking… DO IT Q+

President of India is a very elevated position. President takes oath to preserve, protect and defend the constitution. This oath is taken only by the President and the Governors. If you look at the Indian Constitution, the President is the first part of the Parliament. Second and third are Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Recent there was a directive to the President, by a recent judgement. Where are we heading? What is happening in the country? We have to be extremely sensitive. It is not a question of someone filing a review or not. We never bargained for this. President being called upon to decide in a time-bound manner, and if not, it becomes law. So we have judges who will legislate, who will perform executive functions, who will act as super Parliament, and absolutely have no accountability because law of the land does not apply to them. Every Parliamentarian, and every candidate in any election to assembly or Parliament is required to declare assets. They just don't do it. Some do, some don't. #RajyaSabha

THERE IS NO IMPLOSION or EXPLOSION in ZANU PF, however, there are SERIOUS matters that need to be ironed out especially in the post-CAB3 era. There are NO FACTIONS in ZANU PF, however there are ambitious/admired people who have some unofficial followers/supporters. As it stands, President President of Zimbabwe is UNCHALLENGED & he has NO COMPETITION whatsoever. If anything, those who want to succeed him have no much choice but to show FULL LOYALTY to him & his vision. ED has all the political capital & anyone who tries to compete with him or antagonise him will certainly fail. Those who put their names on the anti-CAB3 side already burnt their political capital & there won’t be a Lazarunic resurrection for them. CAB3 is not for President Mnangagwa, neither is it for any individual… CAB3 simply introduces new governance systems that will be used by all Zimbabweans… Those who opposed CAB3 FAILED because they reduced a 21 Clause Bill to be about ED & ED alone. That strategy had no buyers because it was irrational and it was also fronted by bona fide opposition trolls who resorted to insults instead of making convincing arguments against CAB3. The ZANU PF Youth League is speaking from a position of AUTHORITY & KNOWLEDGE… As usual, ZANU PF unites behind a mission but a candid postmortem always follow… There were ZANU PF leaders who sat on the fence while others chose to clandestinely undermine CAB3 using proxies. Some MPs even chose to be absent on the day when Parliament was voting on CAB3! All these “misdemeanours” have serious political consequences & this is what is naturally expected in the post-CAB3 era. As I always say: There are WINNERS & LOSERS in politics, what makes one a great politician is the ability to distinguish between WINNERS & LOSERS. Even though there were NUMEROUS people campaigning for CAB3, the success of CAB3 can be attributed to the fact that there is generally an abundance of GOODWILL towards President President of Zimbabwe. If President ED had not delivered, the anti-CAB3 folks would have easily mobilised people against the Bill & the govt. It is now public knowledge that they tried through the late Geza & others but FAILED! The biggest lesson here is: If you DELIVER, you rule in PEACE & for as long as you want! Final word! Now that CAB3 is a DONE DEAL, the focus should be on DELIVERING! CAB3 was, obviously, a distraction & since it is out of the way, it’s important to accelerate the pace of development towards Vision 2030. In this regard, President Mnangagwa needs a SOLID & LOYAL team. The President should OFFLOAD those whose loyalties lie elsewhere because they won’t stop undermining his agenda!
