Policing carries a weight others can’t see – until they’re the ones staring down a blade or firebomb. On 31 January, 28-year-old Alexander Dighton turned up... at Talbot Green Police Station, armed to the teeth. Molotov cocktail. Hatchet. Knife. Wooden pole. He wore body armour and came with intent. He tried to torch a police van. Smashed station windows. Stabbed a detective in the leg – narrowly missing his femoral artery. He punched another officer unconscious. A 50,000-volt Taser was fired – he shrugged it off and kept going. Today, he was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum of 22 years, after pleading guilty to attempted murder, GBH with intent, attempted arson, and several other offences. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the attack had a terrorist connection, rooted in extremist anti-government views. Dighton had previously been referred to the Prevent programme. Chief Superintendent Stephen Jones praised the bravery and professionalism of officers who faced him down. “This could’ve been so much worse,” he said – and he’s right. This officer was thinking with the wrong head. This SDPD officer arrested a woman outside of a 7-11 on an outstanding warrant for her arrest. On his drive to the station as he was transporting her, the two of them were flirting with each other. Inevitably the officer pulled off the road and climbed in the backseat with this woman to mess around. He messed up because he locked himself in the back with the woman and another officer had to come get him out. He re-enacts how he claims he got locked in the car with her at the end. Needless to say he is no longer with the department.

This dude unloads on cop in a who is in the right type situation. We are in Adam's county PA where a Law Enforcement Ranger pulls over a man because he is saying he could not see his tag. By the officers own admission he was able to see the tag as he got closer but proceeded with the stop. As per usual the officer asks for ID and the man in truck went to work on this officer telling him this is an illegal stop as no crime has been committed so he is not required to provide ID. Through out the interaction he asks the officer if he is free to go and the officer doubles down on detainment. However at the same time when asked the officer was not able to articulate a crime. The man also asked for a sergeant and the officer never compiled by getting a supervisor on scene which honestly would have been the best move. There are two ways to look at this interaction. The eyes of the officer: The officer calmly maintains that the traffic stop is entirely lawful. In the United States, law enforcement needs reasonable suspicion to initiate a traffic stop. An obscured license plate or illegally dark window tint satisfies that standard in almost every jurisdiction. Furthermore, once a lawful traffic stop is initiated, a driver is legally required to produce a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration. The driver's perspective: The driver claims that his tags are legit and the officer was able to see that when he ran them. He argues that because the ranger claimed at first he could not see the tags but now he can as he approached the vehicle. Since the officer admitted he can now see the tags and there is no problem with the tags, the initial stop was "erroneous" and constitutes an illegal search and seizure. He also details a personal grievance with local law enforcement, claiming a local district attorney and police officers have been "terrorizing" him. What is your take on this stop? I cannot believe what I’ve just heard WHAT?! I warn you now. This will make your blood boil. It’s infuriating. This ex-Met cop DEFENDS the police officer’s handling of the Henry Nowak case, even AFTER seeing the horrific bodycam footage. He told the police officer NINE times he couldn’t breathe, he told the officer FOUR times he had been stabbed and the officer believed the murderer and still said “I don’t think you have mate” after dragging his body across the gravel while he choked on his own blood. The Toronto police corruption scandal just keeps getting worse They must be joking! The Project South police corruption scandal investigation is being headed up by a cop immersed in scandal! You are NOT going to believe who is heading up the Project South police corruption investigation. Namely, a corrupt cop! By way of background, Project South was jointly announced in February by the Toronto Police Service and York Regional Police. The word “shocking” doesn’t even begin to convey the significance of the scandal. As we reported back in the wintertime, several police officers and civilian staffers, mostly employed by the Toronto Police Service but also with Peel Regional Police, were put under investigation for guns and drug trafficking, bribery, breach of trust, and even conspiracy to commit murder! Let us reiterate: these are police officers and civilian staffers of police forces facing numerous criminal charges. In other words, the “good guys”. Allegedly. Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw said at the time that corruption has no place in policing and that the force is committed to leaving no stone unturned and assorted other pronouncements of Grade-A bull-shite. But in the aftermath of all the hot air, how exactly is this initiative playing out? Especially given that Chief Demkiw promised the public a two-year anti-corruption initiative. Project South would get to the bottom of this scandal. It would re-establish trust in policing. And so much for accountability and disclosure! It’s a joke, albeit one without a punchline. And this latest sordid chapter in Toronto Police history reminds us of one of our favourite Latin quotes: “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes.” Translation: “Who guards the guardians?”

You are NOT going to believe who is heading up the Project South police corruption investigation. Namely, a corrupt cop! By way of background, Project South was jointly announced in February by the Toronto Police Service and York Regional Police. The word “shocking” doesn’t even begin to convey the significance of the scandal. As we reported back in the wintertime, several police officers and civilian staffers, mostly employed by the Toronto Police Service but also with Peel Regional Police, were put under investigation for guns and drug trafficking, bribery, breach of trust, and even conspiracy to commit murder! Let us reiterate: these are police officers and civilian staffers of police forces facing numerous criminal charges. In other words, the “good guys”. Allegedly. Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw said at the time that corruption has no place in policing and that the force is committed to leaving no stone unturned and assorted other pronouncements of Grade-A bull-shite. But in the aftermath of all the hot air, how exactly is this initiative playing out? Especially given that Chief Demkiw promised the public a two-year anti-corruption initiative. Project South would get to the bottom of this scandal. It would re-establish trust in policing. Moving forward, the Toronto Police Service would be all about restoring accountability and transparency. And if you believe those whoppers, we have some oceanfront property for sale in Saskatoon… That’s because our ex-cop friend Jay Bannister, who now runs the superb MadLab Press website, found out who Chief Demkiw has appointed to run this anti-corruption unit. This man got pulled over for a traffic stop in another state while driving home. The officer asked him for his information, the man gave it to him. The officer came back, gave him the ticket, told him where to appear if he wanted to contest and pointed out where he could mail in the fee for the ticket since he didn’t live nearby. The man said okay. The officer asked if he had any questions, the man said no, the officer said be safe and that was that. So many people said that is a normal interaction with police officers. All the other stuff is someone seeking attention. 💯 It should be this easy every time. Kudos to both those men. 👏 When you do what you are asked to do, there is never a problem, imho. A teen who was assaulted and slammed by a Warren police officer during booking has filed a $50 million lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed this week by Fieger Law. Matthew Rodriguez, 48, an officer with 14 years on the force, was charged Friday with assault and battery charges. Warren police announced Monday that he had been fired According to the lawsuit, the teen suffered physical and mental damage due to excessive force, and the city of Warren failed to properly train the officer. "Officer Matthew, with the specific intent to intimidate and/or harass Plaintiff, as a result of his race and/or ethnicity, caused physical contact with Plaintiff by striking him in the head and/or face with a fist and pulling him off the ground by his hair," the lawsuit reads. The lawsuit also says that the two other officers in the video failed to intervene and help the teen. “This is one of the most flagrant cases of police misconduct I’ve seen in my entire career as a trial attorney. The sheer violence and disregard for human life that these three officers showed is despicable and cannot be tolerated," said James Harrington of Fieger Law. The incident happened early this week at the Warren police department. The video shows the officer punching and grabbing the 19-year-old by his locs before slamming & launching him into his cell. Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer says an investigation was launched after the two officers in the video stepped up and told a supervisor about the incident. One officer was telling Rodriguez "That's enough" multiple times in an attempt to make the officer stop, Dwyer said. At first, they did not know why the officer was attacking him. Within a week, the officer was arrested, charged, and put on unpaid administrative leave, said Dwyer. The officer in the video also was out of policy and was not wearing bodycam. The officer has a lengthy history of alleged accessive force. He currently has two pending lawsuits.

Skrilla is speaking out after being arrested for allegedly shooting a police officer with a toy gun during a music video shoot earlier this month. The Philadelphia rapper is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person, for allegedly shooting a police officer with a water pellet gun on Aug. 16. This young man setups locations every week to help feed the needy. He raises money and awareness on social media and in turn he uses it to help the less fortunate, he does this all the time, it is his calling. On this day, someone had called the police to report him blocking the street. The police arrive and tell him he needs to immediately leave and setup elsewhere. As much as I support helping others, I have to side with the cops on this one. Having people wait in the line in the middle of an active residential street isn’t safe. Maybe he couldn’t have setup in a park or a parking lot even. So are we all in agreement that for the wrong reason, the officer was right in this case?
