On 19 September 2025, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Kech Zone organized a protest rally in Mand, Kech, against the extrajudicial killings of Izhar Baloch, Mullah Bahram, and Jalal Baloch on 6 September, and of Iltaf Baloch on 12 September, carried out by state-backed death squads. The people of Mand joined the protest collectively, rejecting the presence of death squads and the violence being unleashed upon the Baloch people. The Baloch nation pays tribute to the courage, determination, and sacrifices of its Pashtun sisters and expresses its complete solidarity with and support for their peaceful struggle. In Baloch culture, the status of a woman is held in the highest regard. When a woman intervenes in the battlefield to call for peace, firing guns are silenced; and when a woman approaches the opposing side to seek reconciliation in bloody disputes, even the guilty are forgiven. Raising a hand against a woman is, in Baloch culture and tradition, tantamount to a declaration of war. By trampling upon Baloch honor, dignity, and customs, Pakistan has begun abducting and forcibly disappearing Baloch sisters and mothers. The occupying generals of Rawalpindi and Punjab must realize that they have provoked the honor of the Baloch nation a challenge for which they may have to pay a heavy price. Just as Baloch people may spare lives at a woman’s intervention, they can also take decisive action against those who raise a hand against Baloch women or abduct them.

The Karachi Police and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have launched a violent crackdown on peaceful Baloch citizens and members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). The BYC had planned a mobilization campaign in Liyari, leading up to an event on January 25 in Dalbandin. However, when party members and participants arrived at Miran Naka near Liyari, they were met with force, baton charges, and arrests by the Sindh Police. Several BYC members were illegally arrested, including Lala Wahab Baloch, the Central Deputy Organizer, and Sammi Deen Baloch, Fouzia Baloch, and Amna Baloch. The area has been besieged, with police targeting only Baloch citizens. Sammi Deen Baloch is being held at the Karadar Police Station, while Lala Wahab Baloch is at the Chakiwara Police Station. The police are reportedly harassing and threatening Sammi Deen Baloch and kept in jail alone. She escaped an assassination attempt just yesterday. Her life is in danger and Sindh Police is responsible for that. This incident is part of a broader pattern of repression against the Baloch people and human rights defenders. Dr. Sabiha Baloch, Central Leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), addressed a seminar on International Human Rights Day, highlighting that while the UDHR guarantees fundamental rights to all, the Baloch nation is denied even the basic right to life. She stressed that in times of severe state oppression, Baloch people must preserve their ideology, spread awareness, and strengthen unity starting from their families and communities. She stated that the denial of rights stems from the occupying power’s dehumanization of the Baloch, valuing the land over its indigenous people. According to her, the state uses violence, fear, tribal conflicts, and narcotics to suppress the population, and the nation must reclaim its humanity. Reflecting on last year’s Baloch National Gatherings, she said the events demonstrated the strength of unity. Despite this, the state has imprisoned BYC members for nine months on fabricated charges and continues enforced disappearances, torture, night raids, and forced displacements across Balochistan. Dr. Sabiha urged society to expose and socially boycott collaborators and state-backed death squads who divide the community and aid oppression.
