I wish to sincerely apologise to the residents of Lakeside and its environs for the inconvenience caused. There have been multiple faults on cables connected to the feeder, one of which was located in the middle of a road. As a result, excavation works took some time to safely access and isolate the fault. Repair works are currently underway. Our technical team remains on site and will continue working until power supply is fully restored.

🚗 Another Vehicle Dumped on Our Streets Following the successful removal of the Renault truck, we now have another vehicle that appears to have been dumped, this time at the junction of Coleshill Road and Ventnor Avenue. The vehicle is visibly damaged and has been left in a position that is causing an obstruction close to the junction. While England does not yet have the same widespread pavement parking restrictions seen in London or Scotland, parking that causes an obstruction or creates a danger to other road users is a separate matter. As your local councillor, I will be reporting this vehicle to the local police so that appropriate action can be taken. If you are the owner of this vehicle, I strongly urge you to remove it immediately before enforcement action is considered. Our streets are not a dumping ground for abandoned or damaged vehicles. Thank you to the residents who continue to report these issues to me.

Last night I drove on Jinja road & I must say it’s by the grace of God that you reach your destination when you drive on this road - especially at night! Besides maneuvering an unmarked road amidst potholes, you have to be ware of broken down trucks stuck on the road with no warning signs. As if that’s not enough, the road is full of slow moving sugarcane trucks - most with no tail lights & you barely see them in time, unless you are driving in full beam. And then there’s the high speeding, ever impatient taxi drivers always overtaking in dangerous spots, risking the lives of their passengers, and other road users, Lord! If you survive all that, you’re likely to crash straight into one of those Uganda Police Force road blocks that appear without warning. Kwegamba, that road is a ticking time bomb. PS: My co-driver recorded the video.

⚠️ Caution to Mokila HMDA Plot Bidders ⚠️ Upcoming Mokila HMDA auction is on 29th June & 30th June and I visited the site today, and here are my thoughts. The HMDA layout is shaping up very well. The development quality looks good, and the internal roads and overall planning appear to be done to a decent standard. However, the current approach roads are a major concern. • The approach road from Mokila Main Road / Waterford Villas side is decent initially, but remember it is only a 30 ft road, and nearly 1 km towards the end is still a kacha road. • The Kollur approach road is currently in a pathetic condition. • The third access road, which was probably operational earlier via the Aparna venture side, is now closed. Though the brochure mentions 3 HMDA planned approach roads, none of them are actually under progress or visibly planned on ground as of now. Personally, I would not recommend bidding beyond ₹65,000 per sq yard at the current stage. There are other options like Gachibowli County and JB Ventures plots directly on the RR7 Extension Road in the ₹55K–₹60K range, with much better connectivity and just 10–12 minutes from the Kollur exit. It doesn’t make much sense to invest ₹70K–₹80K+ without a proper and dependable approach road.
