EVEREST IN 4 DAYS FROM SEA LEVEL, NEW WORLD RECORD, NEW ERA OF CLIMBING EVEREST 🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽🙇- Huge Congratulations Andrew ! He has just become the fastest person to go from sea-level to the summit of Everest in 3 days 23 hours and 7 minutes. Andrew Ushakov had a dream to be the fastest person to do this challenge, and show a different way to attempt Everest. Normally Everest missions can take 50+days due to acclimatisation routines, but Andrew wanted to show that with dedication, training and lots of preparation and hypoxic training for acclimatisation (*including 400+ hours in a hypoxic tent), it could be done faster. At Elite Exped we want to help clients achieve their big dreams in a safe way – that’s our priority. Andrew started his challenge from Sea Level, starting at New York on May 15th at 00.30am and flying to Kathmandu, and then flying to Everest Base Camp. Then he and his team climbed from Base Camp and stood on the summit of Everest on May 19th date at 9.22am – meaning he completed the incredible feat in 3 days, 23 hours and 7 minutes! This new record is a triumph, not just for Andrew, but for everyone who believes in their dreams. Jetson ONE Saving Lives! We’re thrilled to share the results of the world’s first eVTOL mountain rescue operations trials! Jetson was invited by the GOPR Polish Mountain Rescue Team to test two of our production eVTOLs in a real-world mountain emergency response scenario. Our team traveled to Poland, where we successfully executed multiple mission simulations—flying to various destinations, including Mt. Lubań (1,211 m / 3,973 ft MSL). Jetson ONE reached the summit in under 4 minutes, showcasing its performance and ability to access remote locations rapidly. Despite strong, gusty winds peaking at 16 m/s (36 mph or 31 KTS)—conditions that challenge most (ultra)light helicopters—the vehicle performed flawlessly. Jetson accelerates the arrival of the so-called “rescue vanguard”—the first responder who provides aid before the transport team arrives. Real-life, practical use cases like this align with Jetson’s mission to redefine the future of mobility, enabling our vehicles to serve a wide range of missions—including saving lives. Icelandair pilot under investigation after flying at a low altitude over the town of Vestmannaeyjar on Saturday. The Boeing 757 was on a scheduled flight from Frankfurt when the pilot on his last flight went on a sightseeing flight over his childhood home in the Westman Islands without the knowledge or permission of the company. Chief Flight Officer at Icelandair Linda Gunnarsdóttir said in a statement, "This is just a very serious matter that we will look into here internally. It's just the case in aviation that everything is very rigid in work processes, checklists and other things like that, what we do in normal passenger flights, and it doesn't fall within that framework." Linda says she expects passengers to have been informed about the sightseeing flight, but she cannot say that yet. She is also unable to comment at this time on the consequences for the pilot, who is leaving the company. The matter is, as previously stated, under consideration by the company.
