With all due respect, 2005-2006 Kobe is the best player I have ever seen (Didn’t see Jordan’s young prime live). The Lakers wasted Kobe’s best years and he still got 2 more RINGS post-Shaq. 35PPG on mostly Jump Shots AND 1ST TEAM ALL DEFENSE. The biggest threat from all 3 levels of the floor of all time. Watch these highlights. All bottoms of the net this is crazy. Kobe was still in his young athletic prime and the game came easy to him. And his skill this year peaked at an all time high which the league has never seen in its history considering his threat from 3Pt range. Just insane offensive production. A machine. You have to be totally locked in to move like this. No one can “decide to do this”. This happens when athletic peak meets all time skill. 80 games -56 times scoring 30+ -27 times scoring 40+ -6 times scoring 50+ -2 times scoring 60+ -8 times with 4 consecutive 30pt games -5 times with 5 consecutive 30pt games -3 times with 8 consecutive 30pt games -7 times with back to back 40+ games *Long video but it should be an hour long this year was MADNESS 🤷🏾‍♂️ Point totals for each month (Thread)

The now six-foot-five right-hander has already experienced the Junior Future Games (2023) and Super Sophomore Games (2024), and if all goes well this spring, he should be in consideration for this year’s Future Games team. Ranked 3rd in the state and 192nd nationally, Hicks has a frame that oozes projection with a quick, compact arm stroke into a three-quarter slot. He hides the ball well and has the arm speed that allows his fastball to get on hitters quickly. Some of his heaters run arm-side more than others, and the ones that do give right-handed hitters issues. The fastball has been up to 88.8 MPH on Trackman, and we saw that velocity upheld in-game during the fall tournament circuit. Hicks’ low-80s slider is a swing-and-miss weapon with late movement, and the two pitches are a strong foundation. This past summer Hicks paced all freshman arms with 95 strikeouts (24th among all pitchers) in 65.1 innings pitched. The 95 strikeouts from a freshman pitcher was the most since Blaine Harpenau’s 101 total in the 2017-2018 season. Overall, Hicks made 11 starts for the Eagles and went 6-2 with a 1.39 ERA and a .177 batting average allowed. Big things are ahead for this young arm. More on Brady ⤵️

Just a two-star recruit out of Miami, FL, Fernando Mendoza was initially slated to go Yale before switching late to Cal. And after an 8-game starting season in 2023, he emerged as a bonafide NFL QB prospect during the 2024 season. And he enters the Big Ten (now at Indiana Football) and the 2025 #NFLDraft process as a QB Draft fans need to get to know: I’d bet on his continued ascent up boards over the next 10 months. Mendoza’s film last year has a LOT to be excited about, from his pocket navigation, deep ball placement, and high release point allowing him to pinpoint at all three levels with control. But what really jumps out in studying Mendoza: his toughness. He faced ample pressure last year and was as good as any quarterback with pressure in his face and finishing through contact as a passer. On plays where he had less than 2.5 seconds to throw, Mendoza was top-5 in the FBS last year in Completion % (min 250 attempts), behind players like Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. As you can see in the plays below, Mendoza has the size/arm talent to complete passes with rushers muddying the pocket and/or hitting him, and the rare placement and control to complete those passes at a high level He’s one of just seven FBS returning starters who faced pressure on 170+ snaps. The QB he’s replacing, Kurtis Rourke, faced pressure on a little less than half of Mendoza’s. NCAA Champion Michael La Sasso is now the youngest player on LIV Golf after signing for Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers GC during the off season. He explained his decision to join the league ahead of the season opener in Riyadh: “One of the things that went into my decision, when I was 10 years old starting to play golf, like, the goal for me was to play professional golf. Having people that have been very well-known in the golf space and are so experienced, and to be able to be a part of a team that's with Phil, somebody that's had so much experience, I feel like he'll be able to answer any question that I throw at him, to have the ability to be able to ask somebody that on a daily basis, that played a very big part in it for me because not every 21-year-old has the opportunity to be able to ask questions to those people. So that was a big factor for me. “I think so far, I'm so grateful that I made the decision, and I am very happy to be here.” Michael also says that Caleb Surratt, who joined Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf team for the 2024 season, had an impact on his decision too: “So, I've had a very good relationship with Caleb Surratt. Not many people know this, but he was committed to NC State at the same time I was. He's from North Carolina, I'm from North Carolina. Growing up, I played a lot of golf with him, and we were very close. “I remember when he first came here, he stayed at my house because he was getting a swing lesson from -- we go to the same instructor. Everything that he had to say, it made me excited. From a very early start, hearing about LIV and every perk that it had and hearing him talk so highly about it, the fact that I actually had an opportunity to come out here and play, and I asked him a bunch of questions and kind of from the start, everything that he had to say and people that I talked to, everything was so, so good.” He went on to say about the prospect of playing team golf: “I think that makes the transition a little bit easier. I feel like my golf has kind of taken off when I've been in a team environment. For me, having a team around me was very appealing. “I've played good golf as a team. I like the camaraderie, kind of the friendly banter that goes back and forth between the guys. For me to have the opportunity to come play on a team environment for a professional career, I think that's the coolest thing ever.” This is Michael’s rookie season as a pro after signing for HyFlyers GC straight out of college. Normally, it’s a difficult transition for young players to make, but Michael isn’t short of confidence and has some lofty goals: “I've talked with a bunch of people on the team. I know Phil is very big on having a team win and an individual win. Now being the youngest player in the league, I'd kind of like to come in and make a good noise, and I would like to win a couple times. I would like to see the team win for sure, as a team event. Deion Sanders is the face of College Football. There are better teams. There are better programs. But win, lose or draw, no one has captivated college football like Coach Prime, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Colorado. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter both made plays against Baylor when their team and Coach needed them the most. They made those plays in the biggest moments of the game because prime time players, make prime time plays in prime time moments. Deion Sanders is Prime Time and his influence rubs off on his entire program. A lot of people wondered why Colorado’s fans rushed the field after beating a 2-1 Baylor team. They rushed the field because they know what it was like before Coach Prime and his Louis luggage showed up. There were no season ticket sell outs since 1996. With Deion, season tickets are sold out for the second straight year. School applications are up 20% with a 50.5% increase in Black student applicants. Colorado made $113.2 million from its 2023 home games alone, which led to a 51% increase in revenue through media rights with Coach Prime at the helm. Before Coach Prime, no one searched for a Colorado game. Last year alone Colorado averaged 7.2 Million viewers per game, with 5 games ranked in the 25 most watched college Football games of the year. That trend continues this year as well. Coach Prime turned the worst Power 5 school in the country into one that PEOPLE CARE ABOUT. Win or lose. You watch. Cheering for or against. You watch. However, his biggest accomplishment isn’t making the Colorado Buffaloes relevant again. His biggest accomplishment is empowering the young men in his program to believe in themselves, trust God and rejuvenating an entire city in the face of massive push back against his style. Deion Sanders took 2 HBCU football players in Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter and helped coach them into 2 of the best players in the country who are both in the Heisman race. Took multiple HBCU football players and helped coach them into high level Power 5 starters who have NFL futures. You see the thing about Coach Deion Sanders is he is just as misunderstood as he was as a player. With him, you earn what you get and every single player in his program knows that. But win, lose or draw, no one has captivated college football like Coach Prime, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Colorado. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter both made plays against Baylor when their team and Coach needed them the most. They made those plays in the biggest moments of the game because prime time players, make prime time plays in prime time moments. Deion Sanders is Prime Time and his influence rubs off on his entire program. A lot of people wondered why Colorado’s fans rushed the field after beating a 2-1 Baylor team. They rushed the field because they know what it was like before Coach Prime and his Louis luggage showed up. There were no season ticket sell outs since 1996. With Deion, season tickets are sold out for the second straight year. School applications are up 20% with a 50.5% increase in Black student applicants. I was asked to write a bio of myself on SportsRecruits. I wanted share what I wrote. I love this one and those in it. • • • OLYMPIC DREAMS. I was 12 years old when I lost my starting position at shortstop, and lost my way into the batting lineup as well. I know it sounds silly being at such a young age, but to me; at the time, it was devastating. If not for my faith in God and my family… I’m not sure if I would be here writing this bio of mine. Hello! My name is Grace Varua. I am 16 years old and currently a sophomore at Pope John High School in Sparta, NJ. I started playing softball when I was 7 years old (video) When I am not playing High School softball Pope John Softball I play for Unity Torres 2028 primarily as a catcher and 3B as my secondary. MY hopes; after you have read, is to feel who I am through this quick bio of myself. Hence, the reason why I started this bio the way I did. A quick backdrop to my story. When this all happened at 12 years old, I wasn’t quite sure how to handle it. I was broken. My parents made it super simple for me. My choices were to quit or get back to work and prove to myself and to “the world” that my story was not finished. My parents have also taught me, that having goals or being goal oriented is super important. Goals give us a sense of purpose or meaning while we sweat and work hard. Goals gives myself an opportunity to plan and stay organized. Most importantly, goals gives myself perspective in paying respect to the time and effort given to me by my coaches, players of my team and parents. Goals keep me disciplined to fight through when I’m tired and all I want to do is rest and pack it in. So I picked a goal that I felt would represent the pinnacle of my sport. That being, to be a member of USA’s Women’s Olympic National Team. USA Softball Women's National Team 🇺🇸 Some may say a far-fetched goal, but I think otherwise. I was taught the philosophy of the 100 hour rule. Roughly 18 minutes a day training for 1 year. Gives myself the opportunity to outperform 95% of the population in my craft. Whether that stands true or not. This philosophy is more about staying disciplined. I can humbly and honestly say, I exceed that 18 minutes and then-some for the reason of hoping to represent my country one day. I’ve been able to catch some of the best youth pitchers in the game of club softball right now.
