After two years of fear and noise, the silence feels strange. Itโs not peace, but itโs something. The bombs stopped, for now, and Iโm trying to bring a little joy back to the children. There are no therapists here, no programs to heal their minds, so Iโm doing what I know best: cooking. After a long time without fruits, I finally managed to make something that includes them, something tasty and a bit nutritious too. It felt amazing seeing the kids enjoy it, especially my son Nizar, whoโs now a year and a half old, tasting fruits for the first time. This video was filmed in a displaced people camp, and it means a lot to be cooking again in a place that finally feels a little safer. Today I made cereal in all kinds of wild mixes with fruits, sauces, and chocolate just to see them laugh again. Itโs messy, funny, and full of heart.

Whenever kids see me around, they keep asking me for Shawarma or burger! Today is a good day, I was able to prepare Smash Cheeseburger .. to say they were excited, it would be an understatement! Before the aggression on Gaza, I used to visit burger restaurants and rate them as a food blogger.. we did have some incredible burger places btw! But here I am, making my own burgers in not ideal circumstances! Waiting for my rating. from the kids ๐

This is the first video I make since going back to my city, Gaza city Heading back to my neighborhood, the place where I spent my whole life at! I am not gonna sugarcoat the facts, life here is very hard! People struggle to provide for their families.. no electricity, Internet connection or water! So yeah, the North of Gaza is in a very rough shape ๐ฅฒ I shot this in the beginning of Ramadan, when Protein was available! since then Rafah Crossing had been closed and no more products are getting through! As always, Iโm counting on food to give us a momentary relief Gazans love their Chicken Fattah, my Mother usually makes it with Shawarma instead of whole chicken, and this is how I like it.. so this is how I made it ๐ซถ Shawerma Fattah

An ear was grazed the US and the whole world is flipping for it! Thousands of kids are being unalived on a daily basis in Gaza and that same world didnโt shake for a second.. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ As for what we have for today, itโs inspired from the famous dessert Layali Lubnan (Lebanese nights) which is a delicious semolina pudding.. I made a few variations for the toppings, one was raisins & honey. One was condensed milk and the other had pistachios & cream. Just remember a Gazan kidโs toenail worths more than a grazed ear ๐ Free ๐ต๐ธ
