“Ice cream is happiness condensed” 😁– Jessi Lane Adams I gotta agree with you on that ms. Adams You can’t imagine how magical those popsicles 🍓🍋were and how happy they made us.. Especially in a 34 C weather ☀️ Distributing these was extra special, as they are produced locally by an El-Arusa Ice cream 🍦 factory that got bombed and was forced out of work.. but with the Palestinian spirit, it re-opened its doors 💪🏽

After two years of fear and noise, the silence feels strange. It’s not peace, but it’s something. The bombs stopped, for now, and I’m trying to bring a little joy back to the children. There are no therapists here, no programs to heal their minds, so I’m doing what I know best: cooking. After a long time without fruits, I finally managed to make something that includes them, something tasty and a bit nutritious too. It felt amazing seeing the kids enjoy it, especially my son Nizar, who’s now a year and a half old, tasting fruits for the first time. This video was filmed in a displaced people camp, and it means a lot to be cooking again in a place that finally feels a little safer. Today I made cereal in all kinds of wild mixes with fruits, sauces, and chocolate just to see them laugh again. It’s messy, funny, and full of heart.

Every time Taylor Swift sees another female artist taking over the charts, she magically drop some repeat album 😂.. so I thought that should re-drop a hit of mine! The magical chicken Sandwich This time it’s a chicken strips sandwich with a simple sauce. I talk repeatedly about the important of protein for the kids, and how hard it is to provide it! So you can imagine how excited I was to finally get some chicken 🐓 I think my hit beats Taylor’s.. right?!

last time i cooked spaghetti 🍝, I made the unforgivable sin of breaking it… I was lucky enough that the gracious Italian people forgave me in the comments. I’m revisiting Italy again 🇮🇹, this time with Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Mainly because pasta is available, but also cause it’s a simple delicious dish that is popular amongst the kids Do I get your approval this time? Questa volta ho la tua approvazione? 🤌

I wanted to make something new for the kids, so I made Egyptian style Shrimp Fries, crispy potato sticks shaped like shrimp and stuffed with a little cheese and flavor. 🍤🥔 It’s one of those simple dishes that look fancy but come from almost nothing, just time and love. ❤️ The kids couldn’t stop smiling, calling it “zaaki” and “fancy” after every bite. 🤤 In a place where ingredients are limited, creativity is what keeps the taste of joy alive. 🔥🫶

This is my attempt on a chocolate croissant 🥐 They turned out warm, cozy and tasty The kids always get excited when I make them a new dessert, this time was no exception.. smiles all around 😀 This is the first time I cook in this place “Amjad’s kitchen” It’s a place where a bunch of Gazan youth who used to work in restaurants, joined forces in Mawassi to cook Shawerma regularly for the displaced people. They haven’t been able to cook for the last month , as there are no meat entering Gaza.. I’m super proud of their efforts

Whenever kids see me around, they keep asking me for Shawarma or burger! Today is a good day, I was able to prepare Smash Cheeseburger .. to say they were excited, it would be an understatement! Before the aggression on Gaza, I used to visit burger restaurants and rate them as a food blogger.. we did have some incredible burger places btw! But here I am, making my own burgers in not ideal circumstances! Waiting for my rating. from the kids 💚

This is the first video I make since going back to my city, Gaza city Heading back to my neighborhood, the place where I spent my whole life at! I am not gonna sugarcoat the facts, life here is very hard! People struggle to provide for their families.. no electricity, Internet connection or water! So yeah, the North of Gaza is in a very rough shape 🥲 I shot this in the beginning of Ramadan, when Protein was available! since then Rafah Crossing had been closed and no more products are getting through! As always, I’m counting on food to give us a momentary relief Gazans love their Chicken Fattah, my Mother usually makes it with Shawarma instead of whole chicken, and this is how I like it.. so this is how I made it 🫶 Shawerma Fattah

When I was a kid, nothing could me happier than finding the “Anbar” cart near the school gate! 🍬 Biting through that candied apply 🍎 was always a moment of joy.. An ear was grazed the US and the whole world is flipping for it! Thousands of kids are being unalived on a daily basis in Gaza and that same world didn’t shake for a second.. 🤦🏻‍♂️ As for what we have for today, it’s inspired from the famous dessert Layali Lubnan (Lebanese nights) which is a delicious semolina pudding.. I made a few variations for the toppings, one was raisins & honey. One was condensed milk and the other had pistachios & cream. Just remember a Gazan kid’s toenail worths more than a grazed ear 👂 Free 🇵🇸
