Presumably this is in relation to Chinese EV’s.

Dear Canada: we aren’t being held back by America. We’re being held back by Canadians who got very comfortable telling us we’re being held back by America. Our own Prime Minister proudly went up on stage calling us a ‘middle power.’ Canada…the second largest country on earth. Third largest oil reserves. Largest freshwater supply in the world. Arctic sovereignty over territory the entire world is about to want desperately. G7 economy. Educated. Neighbours with the largest economy on earth… And Canadians clapped. They clapped like he’d said something inspiring. We have every ingredient to be ungovernable in the best possible way. To be the country the world needs. To be the partner America respects, Europe envies, and China can’t afford to cross. Instead we’re clapping for middle. Until Canadians get half as angry about being sold small as they get about a Trump post, nothing changes. Stop clapping for people who don’t believe in your potential. Who stifle your growth, and who don’t want you to figure out what we could be if they actually tried.
