Bottom line is when you have debasement and assets are no longer are in reach, you spend your money as quickly as possible on things like travel etc. And we suddenly see $1,000/night for motel rooms and 1 1/2 hour lines for things like waterfalls and fountains. And the issue is that pundits confuse this spending saying it’s inflation driven (higher wages etc) instead of a psychological reaction to debasement as people borrow to spend on “experiences” because they know the value of their dollar will be a lot worse tomorrow.
