![An old Air Force buddy of mine is an EMS worker [firefighter/EMT] in east Tennessee and he messaged me earlier today and his text was basically (paraphrasing): "saw the videos you've been sharing and that's nothing. Those videos are just from people who are in places with service. Wait until you see what's happened where there's no service" Unfortunately I think he's probably right. Security footage was released today after it was announced that the two Gastonia police officers who shot and killed a man at a convenience store in January won’t face any criminal charges. Before getting into the details, as someone who has spent a lot of time in Gastonia, NC, this is the most "Gastonia" gas station conversation I've ever heard (audio up) 😎 -very good body positioning by the cop to conceal his 4 o'clock draw and a solid draw and first shot on target time 🤌🏽 -the cop took at least two shots on the threat while the threat was at a 90 degree angle; good example of why the 12-18'' penetration standard is the standard. Albuquerque police responded to a trespassing call and found Robert Salas (35), who had a lengthy violent criminal record including child rape, holding a large knife. A lady cop drew her Smith & Wesson M&P9 2.0 wearing a Streamlight TLR-1 HL weapon light and Aimpoint ACRO P2 red dot optic and told Mr. Salas to drop his knife 🔪 The lady cop did a good job of creating space (firearms are distance tools...) when Mr. Salas charged her which signaled to her that it was time for an impromptu 9mm JHP ballistics test and she conducted it on his torso. The test was successful and Mr. Salas died on the scene saving taxpayers millions of dollars. Career criminal, 25 year old Abdulhafedh Abdulhafedh (shocker...), was suspected of a recent bank robbery in Illinois and was surrounded by FBI agents & Chicago police in Garfield Park yesterday. Officers blocked Mr. Abdulahafedh's vehicle in and instructed him to exit the vehicle. Instead he decided he'd shoot at them. Agents responded by performing an impromptu ballistics gel test with their Federal 5.56 62gr Tactical Bonded XM556FBIT3 ammunition on his head and torso. Even with the vehicle glass barrier, the ballistics gel test was successful and Mr. Abdulahafedh died in the vehicle saving taxpayers millions of dollars. Inshallah. Heavy police presence today outside of the gas station Rick Chow used to own in Columbia, SC where he killed Cyrus Cormack-Belton with a Glock 21 after Mr. Cormack-Belton pointed a Taurus 9mm handgun at Mr. Chow. This is just one of thousands of cases where we know these systems are being unlawfully used - imagine how many times it's happening where we never hear about it... Bodycam footage has been released of Miami deputies serving a warrant for Cristian Barata (25) who was suspected of distributing child pornography. As the cops breached the door, women and children came out and Cristian's brother, Christopher (21), came out of his room with a Sig Sauer P365XL wearing a Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X & a Vortex Defender red dot optic at the low ready position. Police opened fire on Christopher, killing him. Both brothers were TSA agents. FDLE is investigating the shooting incident which certainly isn't a black and white use of force like we normally see. Christopher doesn't appear to raise his firearm before being shot and being armed in your house isn't a crime; especially in south Florida where criminals have a long history of breaking into homes whilst announcing "police or policia!!!" The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve a warrant on Samuel Waters Jr. (37) who lived in his vehicle in a local Walmart parking lot. Upon arrival, officers asked Mr. Waters to exit the vehicle which he refused. After several hours a rook was called in and used to deploy tear gas into the vehicle. Mr. Waters then fired his Colt 1911 with commander length slide at officers prompting multiple officers to conduct an impromptu ballistics test on the vehicle and Mr. Waters with their AR15s. Surprisingly, the ballistic test was a failure and Mr. Waters survived and his imprisonment will now cost taxpayers millions of dollars. During the ballistics test the officers also shot the frame of his pistol; ruining a nice 1911 unfortunately. Mr. Waters had a lengthy criminal record including arrests for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Weapon while Intoxicated, Drug Possession, and Resisting a Law Enforcement Officer. 33 year old man shot multiple times yesterday at point blank range in Cape Town, South Africa in the "safe neighborhood" of Marine Circle at the News Cafe restaurant. Deanna Harrell (35) reportedly was driving under the influence when she struck a beach ramp toll booth and killed the toll booth worker, Tammie Jo Barker (62), yesterday. Ms. Harrell then attempted to flee on the beach but was detained by beach goers then eventually arrested by Volusia Sheriff's office deputies. A criminal ran from the police in Garland, TX yesterday and crashed his vehicle in the process. He then attempted to carjack the vehicle shown here and the driver, with his family in the car, told them to run whilst he handled the armed criminal. Handle him he did. Aurora, Colorado police & mental health professionals (seriously...) responded to an apartment complex where Amare Garlington (23) had threatened to harm people. After talking to Mr. Garlington through a window for approximately 30 mins, he exited his apartment with a knife. K9 Cyrus attempted to take him down but Mr. Garlington stabbed Cyrus then stabbed his handler. The handler then drew his Gen5 Glock 45 MOS wearing a Type 2 RMR and Surefire X300 (👌🏽) and performed an impromptu 9mm JHP ballistic test on Mr. Garlington's torso. The ballistic test was a success and Mr. Garlington died on the scene. 22 year old Tanesha Wocktaint from Flint Michigan decided to take part in the "chlorine bomb" social media challenge (those always go well...) She proceeded to pour chlorine into a coke bottle but, what I can imagine is years of chemistry training, she seems to have miscalculated the safe ratio The person filming recommended she back up but she was confident in her chemistry knowledge and didn't follow the warning. Shortly afterward an explosion occurred and the local news has reported she sustained "life altering" injuries to her face and hands.
