Keep your four-way flashing lights OFF when you are driving with traffic, even if the driving conditions are less than ideal. But always drive with your full headlighting and tail lighting systems turned on - day and night. #BeSeen You can use your four-way way flashing lights momentarily if you're coming to a sudden and unexpected slow down or stop on the highway. Only use four-ways continously when your vehicle IS the hazard. For example, stopped and blocking a live lane. ^ks

Collision/Hwy Closure: EB #Hwy401/James Snow Parkway. Vehicle collided with crash cushion separating collector from expeess lanes east of James Snow Parkway. All EB traffic forced to exit. WB lanes remain open. One person tranported to hospital with life threatening injuries. Expect heavy delays. Updates to follow. Vehicles racing reported on WB #Hwy401 express lanes near Renforth Drive - 12:10pm Sunday, May 31. One of the racing vehicles struck a person who was standing outside of his vehicle that had stopped on the shoulder. He was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. Any witnesses are asked to call #MississaugaOPP at 905-858-8670. The investigation is ongoing, charges are pending. ^ks

Fatal collision: NB #Hwy400 closed at Major Mac. Two vehicle collision - car vs tractor trailer approaching Teston Rd. 3 occupants in car, the driver, a 50-year-old from Toronto, taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition. Two rear passangers, both 30 years old, males, from Bradford were pronounced deceased at the scene, truck driver not hurt. Witnesses call #AuroraOPP 905-841-5777. *Appeal for driver to contact police* On Thursday, January 1st, at approx 5:45am, a female fell from a moving motor vehicle on the EB #Hwy401/Dixie Rd collectors. She was struck and killed by another vehicle described as a light coloured Toyota or Nissan, it may have damage to the front drivers side. #MississaugaOPP would like to speak with this driver. Another motorcyclist was killed in a collision last night. Investigators believe another vehicle turned in front of the path of the motorcycle resulting in a collision. 64-year-old motorcyclist is dead. 41-year-old driver with two children in the other vehicle were not injured. Investigation ongoing. #BurlingtonOPP. Un autre motard a été tué dans une collision hier soir. Les enquêteurs pensent qu'un autre véhicule a tourné devant la moto, provoquant la collision.
