You may have seen almost every Black Flag Resynced preview talk about the robotic RPG cutscenes with the new Lucy Baldwin quest, but you might not realize this will be the case with the main story too. And I worry this is just the first of many examples. In the original game, right after you walk with Blackbeard and Hornigold discussing medicine for Nassau, you buy the bell and immediately sail off to dive for the medicine. But in Resynced, they added a new main story cutscene where Edward and Adewale discuss different ways to acquire a diving bell. Now let me just say, the idea itself is GREAT. Having multiple ways to get the diving bell is a FANTASTIC addition to the game... BUT modern Ubisoft strikes again. Edward and Adewale appear like robots, and it has that same stiff RPG conversation style every preview already criticized in the Lucy quest. And if this is happening here in the main story, then I do expect more new main story cutscenes like this throughout the game whenever it branches into different approaches, similar to this where we have different ways to get the diving bell. Now to those who dismiss this criticism as mere complaining. Please I beg you, block me. You are not who I want interacting with my posts or videos. Demanding accountability is the only way to restore the series' past quality.

Here's a cool one. Did you know Blackbeard's famous line "In a world without gold, we might have been heroes" was originally much longer. However, during mocap it wasn't working naturally in performance, so the performance director told Darby McDevitt that he had 5 minutes to rewrite it. And so the final line, "In a world without gold, we might have been heroes", was created right there on the floor of the mocap studio.

The answer is Osmosis. It describes Edward's passive skill acquisition through repeated exposure to Templar behavior. He sees how they move, how they fight, how they act, and after a while, it starts to become natural to him. So when he does those same moves himself, it feels normal, even though he never properly sat down to learn it.

Here's what double assassinations would look like without the harsh camera cut. Of course with a little bit of tweaking and fixing, it'd be just like the past games. I think everyone would prefer the enemy to adjust instead of a harsh camera cut that stops momentum. Please change it for Black Flag Resynced...

This camera mod feels like how Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was always meant to be played. One thing that irks me about the RPG AC games is how far the camera is from your character. It makes you feel like a tiny person in relation to the world. Odyssey already has an stunning world, but once you bring the camera in closer, this to me feels way more natural.

I wish they didn’t cut so much about Shay in AC Rogue, because many people don’t realize, but the game we got wasn’t the game they envisined to make, especially with moments relating to his betrayal. 1. The original plan was for Shay to spend real, in depth missions with multiple members of the Brotherhood before his betrayal. Not the basic training stuff we ended up with, but actual missions meant to build relationships so when he finally turned, it would hit way harder emotionally. That was cut because of time and technical issues. 2. They also originally planned to explore Shay more in depth after the betrayal. He'd be living in New York, completely broken, possibly drunk, getting into fights, struggling to accept what he did and what it meant for his relationship with Achilles. That whole phase was meant to show how badly it affected him, but it was dropped because they couldn’t make the gameplay work. 3. And also, the wanted Shay to spend way more time as an Assassin. That was cut to keep the Templar side from feeling too short.
