I'm hoping this was just an issue with the preview build, but I hope Black Flag Resynced has fall damage in the final release. When I played the preview build, there were several moments where I should have taken fall damage, but I never did.

Am I crazy in saying the beam to beam parkour flows way smoother compared to the world reveal gameplay? That little pause and adjust Edward used to do seems to be removed. I guess the reveal gameplay was an older build if that's the case because the parkour clips shown today from the article looks considerably more efficient.

It looks like the Double Assassinations in Black Flag Resynced have improved since the April world reveal. The camera cut is still present, but it's a lot smoother this time since it doesn't spin a full 180 degrees anymore and face you in the wrong direction.

I HAVE A SCHIZO THEORY! I noticed something in the combat footage. Right after Edward assassinates an enemy with the hidden blade, there's this really brief moment where his stance changes into the hidden blade combat stance, then it snaps straight back to normal. It's like half a second. Obviously, it's most likely because the game's still a work in progress, but it got me thinking… what if there's actually a hopium chance that hidden blade combat is being implemented? The stance he switches into does look like it's the hidden blade combat stance though and not unarmed stance. See the image.

Finally, no more double assassination camera cuts! This mod removes those ugly, harsh camera cuts that happen during double assassinations, so you're no longer forced to look in 1 direction. It makes the animations feel much smoother, and it's a simple change that improves the experience far more than you'd expect. The only downside is that it doesn't support double air assassinations yet.

Most of the new written content isn't the best, but what they did with Stede Bonnet in Black Flag Resynced was fantastic. It was a great send off for his character, and a deserved one 🫡

Here's a cool one. Did you know Blackbeard's famous line "In a world without gold, we might have been heroes" was originally much longer. However, during mocap it wasn't working naturally in performance, so the performance director told Darby McDevitt that he had 5 minutes to rewrite it. And so the final line, "In a world without gold, we might have been heroes", was created right there on the floor of the mocap studio.

You may have seen almost every Black Flag Resynced preview talk about the robotic RPG cutscenes with the new Lucy Baldwin quest, but you might not realize this will be the case with the main story too. And I worry this is just the first of many examples. In the original game, right after you walk with Blackbeard and Hornigold discussing medicine for Nassau, you buy the bell and immediately sail off to dive for the medicine. But in Resynced, they added a new main story cutscene where Edward and Adewale discuss different ways to acquire a diving bell. Now let me just say, the idea itself is GREAT. Having multiple ways to get the diving bell is a FANTASTIC addition to the game... BUT modern Ubisoft strikes again. Edward and Adewale appear like robots, and it has that same stiff RPG conversation style every preview already criticized in the Lucy quest. And if this is happening here in the main story, then I do expect more new main story cutscenes like this throughout the game whenever it branches into different approaches, similar to this where we have different ways to get the diving bell. Now to those who dismiss this criticism as mere complaining. Please I beg you, block me. You are not who I want interacting with my posts or videos. Demanding accountability is the only way to restore the series' past quality.

Given that tailing missions have been reworked in Black Flag Resynced, I hope the Italian diplomat Ruggiero Ferraro tailing is in there. If you don't know, that character is voiced by Mr Ezio himself, Roger Craig Smith.
