This evening, I have the distinct honour and privilege of representing His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda, General Yoweri K Museveni , here in Melbourne, Australia, at the UG@64 Australasian Independence Gala, Business and Cultural Convention, held in celebration of Uganda’s 64th Independence Anniversary. I stand before you as His Excellency’s officially designated representative, entrusted with the responsibility of conveying his message, extending his greetings and sharing his reflections on Uganda’s journey of independence, national development and socio-economic transformation. On behalf of His Excellency the President, I extend warm greetings to all Ugandans across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Australasian region, as well as to our distinguished guests and friends of Uganda gathered here this evening. Although His Excellency is unable to be physically present due to previously scheduled national and state commitments, he conveys his best wishes to you all and has entrusted me with the honour of representing him at this important national celebration. Fellow Countrymen and Countrywomen, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, and especially the Bazukulu gathered here in Melbourne, This gathering is a powerful demonstration of the enduring bond between Uganda and her diaspora community. Wherever we may be in the world, Uganda remains our motherland the land of our heritage, ancestry, identity and shared destiny. As we celebrate 64 years of independence, we reflect on our country’s journey, recognise the progress we have made, and renew our collective commitment to building a peaceful, modern, industrialised and prosperous Uganda. I delivered a donation of 23,000 Australia Dollars equivalent of 15000$ towards event’s preparations .

Town clerk Kajjansi town council fix Sekiwunga Road - Kajansi through Pepsi cola company with in 7 days with out fail . We have the road unit in place . Treat it as urgent should you need support let head office know . 7 days the road should be user friendly.

I launched the distribution of over 10,000 mama kits in Bunyoro subregion . Yesterday we gave out to over 200 expectant mothers in Masindi main hospital . The General Muhoozi Kainerugaba branded mama kits will be distributed in the region free of charge during my 10 days tour .

Alimugonza kasambya road bridge Masindi washed away after being built in a hurry 5 days ahead of our field inspection . The money was allocated last financial year but the good Engneer’s had swindled it . On notification of our visit they rushed resulting in loss of millions.

26 Ntungamo DLG staff to be investigated over alleged financial irregularities involving road funds in billions , questionable staff allowances, alleged salary diversion outside IPPS, and other transactions reportedly linked to UGX 5.9bn in public funds. Over UGX 500m was reportedly spent on water projects, yet ZERO water is on the ground! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ! We demand a thorough, independent investigation, a full public account of every shilling, recovery of any misappropriated funds, and prosecution wherever evidence warrants. Those implicated must answer to the law, with due process respected. Taxpayers deserve roads, clean water and services not unanswered questions.

This morning, accompanied by the Regional Internal Security Officer, officers from CID, and the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, we conducted an unannounced inspection at Busiu Health Centre IV, the largest health facility in Mbale District. I commend Dr. Mawumbe Bernard, Dr. Balayo Isa Mustafa, the midwives, nurses, and all health workers I found on duty. Your dedication and commitment to saving lives are truly appreciated. Our inspection revealed that Busiu Health Centre IV is overwhelmed by the growing number of patients. The facility urgently requires expansion, additional health workers, and more medical equipment to improve service delivery and meet the healthcare needs of the people. Access to quality healthcare is a constitutional right of every Ugandan. The Ministry of Local Government will work closely with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to ensure this critical facility receives the support it deserves. To all public servants serving with integrity, thank you. To those who neglect their duties or misuse public resources, be warned: our unannounced inspections will continue. Every Ugandan deserves efficient, accountable, and people-centred public services. Together, let us build a cleaner, more transparent, and more effective local government system. Today, while inspecting a bridge project in Bulambuli Town Council under our national “Expose the Corrupt in Local Government” campaign, we uncovered serious irregularities. The bridge that was constructed is only about half the size of what was specified in the approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Even more disturbing, the contractor used black soil as the foundation and final connecting layer instead of the required hardcore and swamp reinforcement materials, in complete disregard of the approved engineering specifications. These actions have caused Government an estimated loss of UGX 500 million and represent a blatant misuse of public funds. The Bulambuli Town Council Engineer and the Town Clerk have fled and are currently on the run. They will be apprehended and held accountable, together with anyone else found to have participated in this fraud. This is exactly why we launched the “Expose the Corrupt in Local Government” campaign. Those who steal from the people and compromise public infrastructure will face the full force of the law. Every shilling of taxpayers’ money must work for Ugandans.
