For you gather-step-haters: This Maryland game-winner is a travel by the rulebook. He gathers the ball with his right foot down (pivot foot), then lifts it and puts it back down—travel. BUT this happens so often on drives, no one bats an eye.

Anthony Edwards demonstrates that it is legal at ALL levels of basketball to lift your pivot foot so long as you shoot or pass before it comes back down. It is not "switching pivot feet."

If you look closely, VanVleet shoots with no spin or side spin. It's why he's inconsistent, as he couldn't hit one early in the series and can't miss now

It took me&lt;4 mins to find the following clips of Davion Mitchell demonstrating what I'm talking about. I can assure you, it's the best way to defend on ball, and is not remotely close to being "dumb shit." There might be an occasional slide in there, mostly turn and run

Donovan Mitchell understands it now. The cheat code for off the dribble 3s is allowing the ball to float and then dip it as you gather it, turning a pull up into a catch and shoot.

This is insane. Most of the ball is thru the rim, hand is still on ball. If he's touching it, it doesn't count

There's a correlation between calf strains and Achilles tears, as we saw with KD in the finals. Less strength in calf, more stress on Achilles. Foot plant way too far behind him and straight leg foot plant. Luckily, players can come back from this

Some confusion about the Pritchard 3. Refs got it right: gather on the right foot, then a simple left-right into the jump. Legal in the NBA and FIBA

Suns fans should be livid. In order for a time out to be called,the Lakers needed to have possession of the ball. It is clearly not controlled by Reaves as the ball is already free by the time LeBron is turning to the ref with the time out signal. This would’ve tied the game

A big key to the Spurs losing Game 1 last night was missing TWENTY open 3 point shots. If the shooter has a few feet of space and no visual impairment of the rim as they begin the arm swing up, that's an open shot in my book. In the playoffs, they're shooting 30% on open 3s.
