This won't make Spurs fans feel any better but that Castle baseline drive that was ruled out of bounds and a key turnover? He never stepped out of bounds 😬

Spurs coach Mitch Johnson thought the shot clock resets to 24 after an offensive rebound of a FT and told Kornet to foul. That is incorrect, it resets to 14. This means they just needed to get a stop, and would've had 11 secs to run a play to tie the game. Instead, OG basically puts the game out of reach

Devin Booker started in the left corner, unlike everyone else. The cheat code is that it allows him to have the initial rack on his right side. That means the right corner rack is also on his right side. And it led to a 30 point round. How did the others not know this??

Another Achilles tear, this time from a common move that running backs make. This type of movement pattern with a straight leg, foot plant too far behind, and fully loaded, is the pattern we see on almost all of these injuries

For you gather-step-haters: This Maryland game-winner is a travel by the rulebook. He gathers the ball with his right foot down (pivot foot), then lifts it and puts it back down—travel. BUT this happens so often on drives, no one bats an eye.

Jimmy, bubbele, this is completely legal. Left foot is the gather. Jump stop is step 1. Either foot can be the pivot foot. Right foot steps, establishing left foot as pivot. Left doesn't move an inch til the jump. Perfection. 🎥 Ben Stiller

Anthony Edwards demonstrates that it is legal at ALL levels of basketball to lift your pivot foot so long as you shoot or pass before it comes back down. It is not "switching pivot feet."

If you look closely, VanVleet shoots with no spin or side spin. It's why he's inconsistent, as he couldn't hit one early in the series and can't miss now

The mythical "punching the ball" rule I had NEVER seen called before. Did u know this rule was part of the original 13 Rules Of Basketball Naismith came up with when he invented the game? Of course, Trae Young did immediately

Reaves gets animated while trying to make a point to the ref after the game ended. The rule: At the end of each game, the coach & his players are to leave the court & go directly to their dressing room, w/o pause or delay. There is to be absolutely no talking to game officials

Here's a huge problem. Look at the obvious foul. Then look at KAT's reaction. Once that cat's out of the bag (pun intended), the fans are conditioned to be outraged. This is as troubling as any player trying to bait fouls.

Did Hugo travel? Turn the sound up because this was a LOT closer than anyone thinks out here. (hint: it wasn't even the worst potential travel of the whole play!)

Remember: For a back court violation when it's being dribbled across - both feet AND the ball must be established in the front court first (ball must *bounce* in front court). We can see Alvarado does not get all 3 in front court so he can go into backcourt again. LEGAL

Kerr: "What I'm seeing is fewer play calls and more flow basketball, more concepts just being executed. And the faster the game, the more difficult it is to get organized. So you have to figure that out without slowing down to call a play." SO important for coaches at all levels

It took me<4 mins to find the following clips of Davion Mitchell demonstrating what I'm talking about. I can assure you, it's the best way to defend on ball, and is not remotely close to being "dumb shit." There might be an occasional slide in there, mostly turn and run

This is how dangerous suboptimal coaching can be when it comes to shooting from distance** I don't even love Koa Peat's rhythm on the left, but at least it's smooth enough to find consistency (35% on low volume last year) **unless this is from an injury

Donovan Mitchell understands it now. The cheat code for off the dribble 3s is allowing the ball to float and then dip it as you gather it, turning a pull up into a catch and shoot.

LeBron with another hop travel on his spin move. You’re simply not allowed to gather the ball (end the dribble with both hands on it) with a foot on the floor and then hop on that same foot. The fans behind the bench clearly follow this account

We got a Pinoy step from Podziemski, and I guess it looked "funny" and triggered a travel call, but it's a terrible call, as he gathers on left foot, then his legal two steps. Hard to imagine

There's a correlation between calf strains and Achilles tears, as we saw with KD in the finals. Less strength in calf, more stress on Achilles. Foot plant way too far behind him and straight leg foot plant. Luckily, players can come back from this

The first clip is Wemby committing a flagrant foul on KAT. I want you to watch the 2nd clip with multiple angles and tell me if you think this was similar enough to merit a F1 for KAT. No call was made at all.

Suns fans should be livid. In order for a time out to be called, the Lakers needed to have possession of the ball. It is clearly not controlled by Reaves as the ball is already free by the time LeBron is turning to the ref with the time out signal. This would’ve tied the game
