Stone Canyon Fire Update: Fire Incident Commander Nathan Hallam reported that the Stone Canyon Fire is at 1,553 acres with 30% containment along the east and southeast corner as of 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 1. Crews continue to work on securing the fire perimeter.

For additional information about Stone Canyon Fire response, follow Lyons Fire Protection District on Facebook Lyons Fire Protection District and on Instagram Lyons Fire Protection District. Information on the investigation into the cause of the fire, or the investigation into the associated fatality, will come from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office . A website has been set up to assist with recovery for the Stone Canyon OR Lake Shore fires: This website will provide information and resources during the recovery and rebuilding process for those impacted by the fires.
