Today, I have ordered the shut down of the Onitsha Main Market for one week due to the protracted economic sabotage cloaked as "Monday sit-at-home". Going forward, this order would apply to any other market in Anambra that shuts down on Monday. This action is not taken lightly, as I am determined to protect the economic interests of our state and its people. No individual or group has the right to halt the lives and livelihood of the people. I urge all traders and market stakeholders to disregard this call to economic sabotage and resume business as usual. Let us work together to build a prosperous Anambra. To those who continue to aid and abet this economic sabotage, I warn that we will not tolerate it any further. Our government will take all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of lives and property in the state. I call on all residents of Anambra to go about their normal business activities without fear. We will continue to do everything possible to protect our economy and ensure that our state remains a hub for business and investment. Let us stand together against economic sabotage and build a brighter future for our state. May Anambra continue to win!

I am impressed by the clinical compliance to our directives by Traders of the Onitsha Main Market. In the last five years Onitsha main market has remained shut on Mondays. Yesterday, by the sheer will of our people, the jinx was broken! The market bustled like never before and the joy exuded by the traders was palpable. Indeed, history has been made today and the self-defeating Monday sit-at-home has been trashed into the dustbin of our regrettable history. Chukwu na eme ife na’adighi ekwe omume. May Anambra continue to win!

The task before us is clear, and the deadline is looming. We cannot afford to waste a single moment, because Ndi Anambra are waiting and they cannot wait any longer! Neither can we! We are shifting into high gear, entering an intense execution mode that will leave no stone unturned. This is a 24/7 operation, with every waking moment dedicated to delivering on our promises. We are driven by an unwavering commitment to the people of Anambra State, and we will stop at nothing to ensure their lives are transformed for the better. May Anambra continue to win!

Today, I addressed the press on the current situation at the Onitsha Main Market. As Governor, it's my duty to ensure the economic stability and security of our state. We cannot allow a few individuals to dictate the pace of our economy. May Anambra continue to win!

We have built a world-class Trauma Center from the ground up. This is not just a building - it is a modern, one-stop facility equipped to handle life-threatening medical conditions. State-of-the-art medical equipment is currently being installed, as we look forward to its formal commissioning and opening for use. I also inspected other ongoing projects within the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital complex. Our commitment to prioritizing healthcare is total and extends across every level of service delivery — from PHCs to THCs. May Anambra continue to win!

Yesterday, I received Evangelist Ebuka Obi of the Zion Ministry at the Light House, Awka. I was on ground earlier to commission the free Psychiatric Hospital and old people’s home built in Aguleri by the Seraphic foundation — the charity arm of the Zion Ministry. Evangelist Ebuka Obi has demonstrated the true essence of Christianity by this very act. I am happy to forge a partnership with him for the good of the less privileged and vulnerable in our society. While on earth, we must do the work of God. May Anambra continue to win!

Yesterday, I met with Michael Ervin, Political and Economic Chief at the U.S. Consulate General, to discuss deepening collaboration through the Commercial Investment Partnership. We focused on infrastructure, agriculture, and the digital economy, exploring ways to translate commitments into tangible benefits for Anambra. We also took him on a tour of the newly commissioned Government House complex and Solution Fun City, a recreational hub featuring an amusement park, water park, and country club. I am proud to highlight our commitment to technological advancement through the Solution Innovation District, driving growth in the digital economy. This visit strengthens our partnership with the U.S. Mission and positions Anambra at the forefront of subnational collaboration. May Anambra continue to win!

Just made an unscheduled visit to the State Civil Service secretariat this morning. Not pleased to see that some workers hadn't arrived for work at 10am. But I must commend the dedicated civil servants I met in their respective offices and duty posts. Your diligence is the backbone of our service. Keep pushing! To those who didn't show up: we are watching. We are intentional about building an agile, effective, and productive civil service. If you are not committed, please make way for those who are. May Anambra continue to win!

Yesterday, I was in Ogun State to cheer Team Anambra at the opening ceremony of the 22nd National Sports Festival, held at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta. All athletes from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) converged here, each hungry for glory. We are the light of the nation, and victory is ours. May Anambra continue to win!

Yesterday, as I marked my 65th birthday, I chose to celebrate in a way that brings me joy and fulfillment - by serving humanity. I visited the Nawfia Neuro-psychiatric hospital, Onitsha correctional center, St. Charles Borromeo Specialist hospital, and Iyienu teaching hospital, Ogidi. I spent the day with patients and inmates, sharing words of hope and encouraging them to never give up. My message was simple: "On earth, we must continue to do the work of God. This is the sure way to affecting humanity and impacting lives positively." As I left Iyienu teaching hospital around 7pm, I couldn't help but smile. These people are a few of my favorite beings, and I'm committed to leaving the world better than I met it. I'm grateful for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve. I've come to realize that true wealth isn't in material possessions, but in the lives we touch and the positive impact we make. To everyone who's been part of my journey, I say thank you. Let's continue to do the work of God and make a difference in the lives of those around us.

I was at Igbo Ukwu to commission the newly rehabilitated and upgraded Obiuno Health Center. Now renamed the Comprehensive Health Center, Igboukwu, this facility stands as a heartfelt tribute and expression of love from the Nwabugwu family, who have beautifully honored their mother through this initiative. To the Nwabugwu family, thank you; Anambra is proud of you! This is what true legacy looks like, investing in the health and future of our people. May Anambra continue to win!

I was excited to see our kids back in class, learning and thriving! No more Monday sit-at-home in Anambra State! To our Teachers, you are Heroes. Your dedication is inspiring. Pupils, keep soaking up knowledge - the future is yours! We are done with excuses. It's time to reclaim our Mondays and build a brighter Anambra!

Today, I celebrate the graduation of 8,300 young men and women from the second batch of our 1Youth2Skills Plus program. This initiative is revolutionizing youth empowerment in Nigeria, focusing on productive, innovative, and export-driven ventures. We have disbursed N3.5billion in grants to support their business dreams. Our goal is to make Anambra the skill hub of Sub-Saharan Africa. To our graduates, I say: start small, start now, think big! You have been equipped with the skills, funding, and mentorship. Now it's your turn to shine! I am excited to see the impact you will make in our state and beyond. Congratulations. May Anambra continue to win!

My return to Nzam was an emotional trip for me. Notably, Anambra West is one of the few Local Governments in Nigeria without an access road to its headquarters. I am proud that we have broken this jinx and fulfilled our promise to construct a 13km access road to Nzam. Promise made, promise kept. May Anambra continue to prosper.

Today, I took the Speaker and Honourable members of the Anambra State House of Assembly on a tour of some key projects in the heart of the State capital. I particularly enjoyed seeing the awe on their faces as we moved from the Solution fun city to the new Government House and Governor’s lodge. This could not have been possible without their altruistic cooperation towards “Project Anambra”. Together, we shall continue to work for the good of our people. May Anambra continue to win!
