Weeks ago the kids came home from a friends with these chips from Trader Joe’s. They freshly opened them and found a chicken bone inside the bag. It’s been weeks of back and forth with TJs communicating and they tried to tell us it’s just a bunch of rolled up chips. 🤣- either way, we are just trying to help them by asking them to check any other bags from assembly. Now they want us to send it all back, which we are, but I wanted to document my little chicken bone friend one last time before we say goodbye.

Our kitchen is a potato cutting factory. I couldn’t find a press that cuts them the size I like so everyday from 3-4 we cut cases and soak. Blanch in the AM, fry in beef tallow to order. It takes work, but it’s worth it. No chemicals, no seed oils.

Per NY Times regarding LA County “The bulk of the roughly $1 billion collected from Los Angeles County taxpayers over the past four years to store more water has gone largely unspent.“ $1 billion taken, they dump water then we get placed on water restrictions.

Just pulled the short ribs from the oven. Now I’ll reduce the broth, puree some of the carrots in and make a ginger beef glaze. It’s on. Spoon tender.

I have built my culinary foundation on buying local, eating more ethically raised food, supporting US raised or caught products (whenever possible). Now suddenly it’s a political issue for 20 minutes because of tariffs and instead of people coming together over great food, morons shit on local food. It’s a funny world. Also, here’s an integrated system we worked on with HB high school.

Want ground beef that browns instead of steaming into a puddle? Mix a tiny pinch of baking soda into the beef before cooking. It raises the meat’s pH, helping it hold onto moisture while the outside gets a better sear.

Everyone is misunderstanding what caramelized onions are. They should be jammy and spreadable, not browned but raw on the inside. In this video I give you the trick to making proper caramelized onions. I think you’ll be shocked by the secret ingredient.

Think about how crazy this is: San Diego County is literally giving residents free air purifiers because of the ongoing Tijuana sewage crisis. When government is handing out air filters so people can breathe in their own homes, you’ve gone far beyond an environmental nuisance. If we can’t get this under control, why are we trusting any farm products?

Thank the internet detectives who time stamped the laughing and clapping in the TMZ newsroom to the exact moment they announce Charlie Kirk’s official passing. These ghouls tried to double down on the lie and got caught. Disgusting.

If you ever see a tri tip roast on sale and youre wondering what to do with it, you don't have a smoker or a grill, here is a simple approach to roast it and get a ton of flavor. This technique works for any roast, so practice any any sale cuts.

Here is a quick and simple vinegar-based grill sauce that is sharp, tangy, a little spicy, and cuts through rich grilled meat perfectly. Takes about 2 minutes to make and it might ruin bottled BBQ sauce for you

Newsom is putting out press releases saying the new gas tax that goes into effect tomorrow is just a few cents. He’s manipulating language. The tax is a few cents but the new benchmarks for the low carbon fuel standards (a tax) may increase prices up to $.65. Playing with words again.
