✏️Plan in pencil ✏️ Normally our starters lift the day after an outing. Kade Anderson’s 135 pitch, CG shutout last night was a performance for the ages! But it was a big physical and psychological stressor. With an extra day of rest this week, we pivoted to an active recovery and steady-state cardio day. Highlights of a great fall training block. Reminder 💡 You should be training with high intent in season! Build a high chronic training volume in the off-season, then taper back volume during the season. Maintain residuals with high intensity, and work to manage fatigue… but do so in a way that avoids detraining. The catch 22 is that training in season is not always straightforward or optimal, but it is the best way to maintain performance, and mitigate risk of injury. Simple, not easy. #ThePowerHouse | #GeauxTigers 🐅

Preseason - time to capitalize on strength & capacity gains made throughout the offseason. Glimpse into a Power/RFD focused preseason training session here. Strength work still exists in this month’s block, but volume is trending down. This lift is positioned closest to scrimmages on the back half of the week to minimize fatigue and soreness heading into preseason competitions. #ThePowerHouse | #GeauxTigers 🐅

Postseason play demands peak physical readiness. - Prep for multiple competitions - Lengthy postseason schedules - Frequent travel Time to let chronic training load and training residuals to shine. S&C volume should be at its lowest point of the year. Be adaptable to individual needs and schedule uncertainty, get some good quick work done, and keep it moving. #ThePowerHouse | #GeauxTigers 🐅
