I can confidently say I am the closest person from the public to being able to drive a Tesla Cybercab 😂 So close yet so far The vehicle arrived in some sort of mode I think it goes into at a supercharger for manual assistance I couldn’t use any apps & the left repeater camera feed was frozen & the worst part was the loud chime that would happen every time the vehicle speed reached >5 mph or so Unique software bug I was able to edit my route to make it back to Terry Black’s

Tesla Cybercab Feedback: Currently it’s 96° out today in Austin at 4:30PM & you can’t lower the temperature below 66° I’m not uncomfortable but especially without ventilation seats the option would be nice at least, especially in future already announced markets such as Las Vegas & Phoenix where it regularly goes above 110°

Bittersweet Day: Today marks 1 year since I purchased my Tesla Model 3 new which included a free year of unlimited supercharging I really used the most of it by clocking in 75,000 miles on the odometer which is roughly just over what most people drive in 6 years haha) Thank you all for tuning in along the way! I’ll have a full breakdown post coming in the following days.

14 Minutes Stuck In A Cybercab: Interesting edge case I just experienced in this Tesla Robotaxi It failed to reroute itself & did loops for 7min trying to leaving pickup parking lot. Support got on the line & stopped the vehicle. It took them another 7 min to restart FSD. Construction crew was nice & moved their vehicle to try to help, S/O to them! No remote operator driving from what I tell

I’m spending a full week in Austin using only Tesla Cybercab and walking to get around. Every trip, meeting up with friends, going out for food, and getting back to my hotel has to work within those rules. I want to see how practical this actually is when I’m depending on it every day. Where can I go? What does it cost? How much do I have to plan around it? Day 3 takes me downtown, with some extra walking after my drop-off and a questionable pickup spot later in the evening. The higher fares are also starting to affect how many rides I take and what I decide to go do. I’m enjoying the rides, but that’s a real consideration when this is your only transportation. Here’s Day 3. Could you do a whole week like this?
