So Christian Petracca is copping a lot of criticism for his actions toward Leo Lombard… and as soon as I saw it I wanted to know why he was so frustrated. Well, the Suns actually run a very similar concept at stoppages inside their forward 50 all of the time, a lot of them set up for Petracca. Clearly he wanted this one too… not a good look though. #AFL

A couple weeks back I said I was buying all of the Sullivan Robey stocks… I’m adding Dyson Sharp to that. Essendon’s midfield over the next few years SHOULD BE exciting and awesome to watch. Love what they’ve got, hopefully they develop further. #AFL

There’s a lot going wrong at Essendon, BUT, what Sully Robey showed as a midfielder I thought was great. Has some great traits, clearly still a lot to work on and you just sit back and pray that there’s some good development at the Hangar eventually to unleash Robeys potential. #AFL

A lotta talk about Collingwood’s youth and depth, I think as they blood their young players we’ll start to see some more quality. Ed Allan has come along nicely over the past few weeks, and has some seriously good assets. #AFL

Maybe lightning does strike twice; Luke Jackson and Cooper Trembath in their second year are very comparable… Trembath probably a better forward, Jackson a better midfielder/ground level player But at the very least, what Trembath is allowing this North midfield to do is awesome. That’s where they’ve invested their top end picks, and having Trembath at CB allows North’s best to actually get on the move and be offensively minded. #AFL

Mullin vs Daicos was a great matchup. I thought both got their wins in certain aspects, but there’s no doubt Collingwood found some little tricks and there’s no doubt Mullin shut down some of Daicos’ influence. He still probably gets a Brownlow vote #AFL

Harley Reid is arrogant. And he should be, he needs to be, I think that’s arguably his biggest skillset. The unwavering belief in your ability to perform at the highest level is such a skillset that so often gets shut down in Australia, whereas if you look around the world at the greatest players across sport… they’re all arrogant. And when you mix that arrogance with a willingness to work, you get a breeding ground for truly special athletes. Harley has clearly begun putting in that work, and it’s clearly paying off. I love it. #AFL
