Have you ever done exercise specifically for head control?

Do me a favor: Grab a bat. Relax your hands and arms. Take an easy swing as if you’re hitting a ball. Notice how gravity naturally helps slot and turn the barrel? Maybe hitters don’t need to force the bat into position. Maybe they need to relax and let it flow.

My JUCO coach used to say “Run straight at the shortstop no matter how far off the bag he is standing!”

Junior Caminero said he was being replaced by Caballero late in games because of his defense. So he asked why. When he got the answer, he started showing up early to work with the infield coach. If you’re not playing, don’t blame it on the coach. Ask. Then get to work.

I love seeing coaches think outside the box. Serious question… Can someone explain this one to me like I’m 8 years old? What’s the movement principle or game transfer behind this drill?

“The more relaxed the muscles are, the more energy can flow through the body.” -Bruce Lee The hardest thing for a player in games isn’t throwing or swinging harder, it’s to relax and Flow!

Two things every youth infielder is told: “Get in front of it.” “Use two hands.” Watch elite infielders. They break both rules on many plays. Overrated, or still gospel?
