The 3D learning experience is thinking an idea I came up with is cool and spent hours implementing it to find out that it only works for a very specific situation aka it’s useless. HAHA Basically I rigged the collar with their own bones so they don’t deform weirdly with the arm/shoulder movement then realise the sleeve clips into the collar on Z rotation. Decided to try applying the twist bone logic of bone constraints (copy rotation) and was like wow, it kinda works to move the collar away when the arm rotates to the front! But reality is that it just looks nice on T-pose and the “effect” is weird when the arms are posed downwards (which would be the default state of the model in its intended use)… And also the sleeve will still clip into the collar at a more extreme rotation anyway so I guess it was a fruitless effort in the end hahaha It did help me get more comfortable with the idea of applying bone constraints for other uses tho so that’s a plus! ദ്ദി(•⥿•)ว✨ In the end I’ll probably have colliders on the sleeve to prevent clipping with the collar as much as possible but I think a big degree of clipping is still inevitable considering the range of movement when the model is used for 3D vtubing 🤔

I think I found the most intuitive Blender texturing add-on for artists who work with NPR models relying on hand-painting 🥹 This is “Paint System” and I found it really simple to use and navigate! It really feels like using PS/CSP in Blender ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) Here’s a simple video showing how layers work (very simple clipping mask & alpha locking too), changing layer blend mode, and you can then bake the layers into 1 & export image! Opacity of each layer can also be adjusted with a slider like in PS/CSP but I forgot to show it hahah It also comes with 2 very nice brushes!! I know there are other add-ons for the same job or can do even more things but just wanted to share this since I found it the most intuitive as someone who hand paints textures a lot in other art programs and have non-existent knowledge over nodes in Blender ;-; Link to the add-on in replies and happy painting!!!! ✨ On today’s propaganda effort on why you should get a 3D model ✨ Can’t dance? Don’t worry, you can play MMDs directly in Warudo like this! 💃 No need for PMX format models since it’s played inside Warudo, so your regular VRM and Warudo models will work just fine (ᗒ⩊ᗕ)⸝ި ʕᦏ⌎ Even if your model doesn’t have MMD blendshapes, you can simply track your face and lip sync like I’m doing here 😆 You can find a lot of free and paid MMD motions online (some will come with camera file too like this one I’m showing) and simply put them in Warudo’s MMD folder.
