If you want to know whether you’re actually strong or just good at ego lifting, try Bayesian curls. Dumbbell Bayesian curls are one of those bicep exercises where you really can’t cheat. With your arm behind your body, the biceps stay under tension and there’s not much room to swing the weight around. You have to control the dumbbell and move it with your actual strength. That’s why ego lifting on this exercise makes no sense. Go lighter, control the eccentric, get a good stretch and focus on the squeeze. Don’t let your ego turn a good bicep exercise into an injury waiting to happen.

Shoulder day is where you build that 3D look. Train all three delt heads, focus on controlled reps and good range of motion, and don’t sacrifice form just to move heavier weight. Want stronger, wider shoulders? Add consistent shoulder work to your routine and keep progressing. The results come with time.

Goblet squats might build your quads better than barbell squats. Upright torso = tension goes straight to your quads instead of your hips and lower back. Plus you can actually hit full depth without your form falling apart, unlike loading up a barbell on your back. No ego lifting either. You're limited by what you can hold, so reps stay slow and controlled with way more time under tension. And since the weight's in front the whole time, your quads never get a break. Barbell squats still win for raw strength and mass. But for pure quad growth? Goblet squats might be doing more of the real work.

He failed the rep over and over again, but he kept coming back until he finally got it. That’s the part people don’t see when they only look at the PR. You can’t win without losing first. Failure isn’t the opposite of progress it’s part of it. Keep pushing. Your breakthrough might be one more attempt away. 💪🏾

This is where ego lifting starts looking more impressive than productive. Moving this much weight with that much momentum can turn a back exercise into a competition with the machine. At some point, the question isn’t how much muscle you’re building, but how much unnecessary stress you’re putting on your body. Heavy training is great. But if you have to sacrifice control and technique just to move the weight, you might be risking an injury for a few extra plates.
