I met an Albertan today who liked the idea of independence but felt overwhelmed by everything that would need to be figured out. Then something clicked: We don’t have to settle every question before October 19. This first referendum is non-binding. Option 2 gives Alberta the opportunity to strengthen its hand and see what Canada is actually prepared to put on the table. Maybe that’s meaningful constitutional reform. Maybe Ottawa offers very little. Either way, we learn something before deciding what comes next. You don’t need to know exactly where the road ends to give Alberta the strongest hand possible. Vote Option 2. #LetAlbertaDecide #Option2

We spend a lot of time asking what Alberta would need from Canada after independence. Let’s ask the other half: What would Canada need from Alberta? Energy. Agriculture. Transportation corridors. Continued trade. Canada already uses Alberta energy as leverage internationally. Maybe it’s time Albertans understood the leverage we have too. Canada needs Alberta too. #Alberta #LetAlbertaDecide

For years, Alberta has tried to improve its place within Canada. So here’s the question: If we’ve been trying for decades, what should Alberta do next? This isn’t about walking away. It’s about walking toward an honest conversation about Alberta’s future and giving Albertans the opportunity to decide it for themselves. Do you believe meaningful change within Canada is still achievable? #Alberta #LetAlbertaDecide #AlbertaPolitics #AlbertaFuture #October19

October 19 isn’t a vote to make Alberta independent. It’s a vote on whether Alberta should begin the legal process toward a future binding referendum and negotiate from a position of greater strength. If you’re happy with the status quo, vote Option 1. If you want Alberta to have more leverage before any final decision is made, vote Option 2. #LetAlbertaDecide #AbPoli

Billions of dollars leave Alberta every year through equalization, yet our governments throw those numbers around as if they’re just another line in a budget. But do we actually stop and think about what a billion dollars really means? Time to Let Alberta Decide 🙌🏽

More Albertans are exploring sovereignty today than at any point in our history. I don’t think it’s because they’ve become radical. I think many are questioning whether government remains sufficiently accountable, transparent, and connected to the people it serves.

The strongest argument against Alberta independence is uncertainty. But uncertainty exists on both paths. So here is the question those asking Alberta to remain must answer: What concrete, achievable plan will produce meaningful and lasting change within Canada? “Stay and hope” is not a plan. #LetAlbertaDecide #Alberta

There are costs to Alberta independence. Fair enough. But federal services are already funded in part by Alberta tax dollars. Add Alberta’s ~$25B annual net contribution to Ottawa & ~$26.5B in lost energy opportunity, and the question becomes: What’s the cost of staying?

I respect Poilievre & his love for Alberta. But respecting someone doesn’t mean we stop asking questions. If the answer is “just keep trying,” it’s fair to ask how that’s different from what Alberta has been trying for decades. Our kids deserve an honest conversation about this.
