I don’t know why, but something just isn’t sitting right with me regarding Dolly’s departure!! I can’t put my finger on it, but if I could I would have to wash it…in CHLOROX!!!! Something stinks about the whole thing and I just cannot figure out what it is!!!🤔 The one thing that I DO know, is that I just don’t believe that we’re getting the full picture…just my opinion, for what it’s worth…🫣 No copyright infringement intended, all rights and statutes to respective parties!!🌟

A blast from the past…doing The Russell Harty Show live. He was so vile to me all day, but when he saw and heard the reaction he ran over at the end and tried to put his arm around my shoulders, but I didn’t let him and said under my breath: “are you taking the piss!!?” looolol. Phoney showbizz bollox, ugh 🙄 No wonder I didn’t get asked back lol (I was absolutely DEVASTATED ah tells ya looolol NOT 🤭)

I was living in Hollywood and working at some (in reality, so naff lol!!) stupid store on Santa Monica Blvd called ‘Flip’ that was owned and run, and managed by (in my opinion) a certified lunatic called Alice, who was seriously absolutely fukkin nuts…she would walk in every single day and if her eyes met yours she would scream “you’re fired!!!”, so even though everything in the store was regimented within an inch of it’s life, you HAD to look like you were ‘busy’ when she arrived in the morning…anyway 🙄 all of the girls and guys used to come up from Compton and Watts (South Central LA…gang turf) and they always knew EXACTLY what tracks were cooking, and when this came on the huge sound system they sang along with EVERY word!!! I loved meeting guys in there, being all ‘helpful’ and such loooolol!! I ended up getting sacked though because one day when she walked in I just couldn’t be bothered to ‘look’ busy, and she noticed immediately and screamed that I was fired!! WELL my dear looolol…unlike all the rest of them, I walked to the back of the store to her office behind a huge long wooden counter, and went around and pushed her office door open and stood in the doorway without going in (I wanted EVERYONE in the store to hear what I was going to say lol!!) She was in the middle of some meeting or some crap, but when I tell you that I told her about herself loooolol…I remember starting off with: “Alice…you DO realise that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who works in this shop, and all the people that you think are your friends, all actually HATE your fukkin guts, because….etc etc etc!!!” She sat there with her mouth wide open in complete and utter shock, as I read her beads hahahaha!!! Oh that felt SO wonderful loooolol hahaha!! But anyway…this song?? OMG!!! Who knew Rick James could sAAAAng like this!!!! Incredible!!🌟

Come on!!! WHO on this planet can just stroll into a scene and effortlessly command e every pair of eyes!!? And yet, despite the apparent artifice, the natural electricity that seems to always make her appear as if you could just reach out and touch her…that immediate connection with the vast majority of the audience, is just something nobody can learn, or buy, it’s either there or it ain’t…and Marilyn was so drenched with all it takes, just because!! There will never be another person who can come within a country mile of this rare and endlessly fascinating woman!! Pure love 💖

My very first ever live television interview!! I was an absolute wreck beforehand as I didn’t have the slightest clue what was coming or what was expected of me…I was so nervous and felt outnumbered and really under attack, but I think I held myself together quite well, considering!! I’m telling you, the chillun these days would absolutely NOT be able to handle anything remotely like this, what I had to deal with and make work!! I did Loose Women a few years ago and Janet was on the panel, and I actually pulled her for this precise interview!! She denied trying to overwhelm me, but lookee here, the actual evidence lol 🫣 I DID get better, but talk about being thrown in at the deep end!! 😏

It’s so weird that THIS is how #DavidWalliams and the rest of them felt comfortable with portraying my character as lol🙄 I know it’s a parody, but I am almost sure that they thought this was near enough!! Strange, as some of the lines were ALMOST close to what I used to act out (he still needs a good slap looolol…and Gina….just because lol 🤭) it’s funny as well, because some of the stuff they are joking about in this all those decades ago, are virtually what a lot of current ones say with a straight face lol…oops lol 🫣

The incredible @SamBrown…I had the honour of singing with her and two others at Claudia Fontaine’s funeral service in a huge church in South London. The four of us stood next to her coffin and sang Amazing Grace acapella. How I got through that? Mystery 😔 Sounded incredible 😢

When we first moved to England from Jamaica we lived with my dad’s parents. I got bought a little red and white record player, with the metal arm that swung back so you could stack your singles or LP’s. But the first record I ever got was Sonny And Cher ‘I Got You Babe’, which I played over and over until the grooves were nearly gone…but I also listened to the B Side, and it was this, and I loved this even more than the A Side and played it until everyone was on the verge of throwing it AND me out of the window looolol…I was only just four!! I think I had exceptional taste starting then!! The lyrics to this are the absolute BIZNIZZ!!! Thank you so much Cher, for all the music and memories!!!!
