There’s nothing to disagree with here. We aren’t a constitutional democracy anymore. Will of the people has been subverted. Independence of judiciary remains an illusion. Rights are trampled upon with impunity. J Minallah has only stated the obvious. A courageous confession!

آج میں نے اسلام آباد ہائی کورٹ میں مجوزہ آئینی ترمیم کے حوالہ سے ایک رِٹ دائر کی ہے۔ دیگر نکات میں یہ نکتہ بھی اُٹھایا ہے کہ ۱۸ ترمیم کے موقع پر عوام الناس کو بھی یہ موقع دیا گیا تھا کہ وہ اپنی تجاویز دیں۔ ایک دن میں ترمیم پاس کرانا جمہوری اور پارلیمانی اصولوں کی نفی ہے۔
