It really depends on the gun. I don't think you're making as many hits as quicky semiauto in some cases. 40 yards on a torso-sized target with an MP5K is pretty hard to beat... But, plenty of examples of guns where semi ends up much faster than full (ie, full just misses a lot)

Yeah 3d printed polymers are no go for rounds with lots of muzzle force because the main compound polymer is not vibrationally dense enough to deduct that type of force volley after volley. Real metals are way more ideal for machining and sporting.
