A total of 22 pedestrians have been arraigned in court for willfully obstructing the free flow of traffic at Allsops footbridge. The Authority in collaboration with NPS and the Nairobi City County will continue educating pedestrians on safe road use. As at 30th June 2026, Pedestrians accounted for 38% of all road traffic crashes. This is alarming and ending pedestrian fatalities requires concerted efforts from everyone, and we call upon all stakeholders to play their part. As the primary road users, pedestrian compliance is vital. Pedestrians must commit to using available footbridges and designated crossings at all times. #StepsToZeroPedestrianDeaths #UsalamaBarabarani

While in the vehicle, passengers including the conductor must always use the seats and seatbelts for their safety. The driver was arrested, presented in court and charged with various traffic offences. He was granted a cash bail of Ksh.100,000 or a court bond of Ksh. 300,000. We sincerely thank the public for reporting the incident. #UsalamaBarabarani #NTSA
