⚡️Electric Vehicle Fire⚡️ Yesterday, OCFA crews responded to an electric vehicle fire in Irvine. These incidents can be extremely challenging due to the intense heat and risk of thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries. That’s why we recently added the Cobra water piercing &gt;&gt;&gt;

OCFA is on scene of a 1-acre brush fire near the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course in Mission Viejo. The fire is currently at 1 acre. Only evacuation at this time is Animal Urgent Care of South Orange County. The fire is named the Arroyo Fire.

Easter Morning Deer Rescue in Lake Forest! Earlier this morning, Engine 54 was requested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) to help a deer that had become trapped in a fence at Borrego Park in Lake Forest. The deer was tightly wedged between its hips and ribs. &gt;&gt;&gt;

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for inland Orange County from 6 PM today through 6 PM Sunday evening. We can expect gusty winds and low relative humidity during this period. &gt;&gt;&gt;

The #AirportFire has grown to 23,519 acres, spanning both Orange and Riverside Counties. The efforts of firefighters on both the ground and in the air are a testament to their dedication in protecting the communities impacted by the fire.

Our firefighters continue to demonstrate courage and unwavering commitment as they defend the communities impacted by the wildfires, and our support for those affected by these tragic fires remains steadfast.

The fire is at approximately 9,000 acres. Much of the terrain is steep and extremely difficult to access. This video shows the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) in action last night dropping up to 3,000 gallons per drop.

San Clemente - Firefighters are on scene in the 300 block of Avenida San Pablo for a vegetation fire. Forward progress of the fire has been stopped. No damage to structures. No cause determined yet.

The hangar continues to burn with collapse of sections at a time. Because of extremely dangerous conditions, firefighters will monitor to ensure the fire remains contained. Firefighters will remain on scene and in the area throughout the day. Smoke will be seen - if you &gt;&gt;&gt;

Los Alamitos - Our emergency command center received multiple calls for a vegetation fire in the area of NB 405 and NB 605 Freeways at 1:20 PM. Dispatchers launched a vegetation fire response, including resources that were up-staffed for the Red Flag Weather conditions. &gt;&gt;&gt;

Crews are ensuring the trench is safe for our personnel to enter to rescue the victim.

Mission Viejo - Our Emergency Command Center received multiple calls from neighbors of smoke and fire coming from a single story house in the 27000 block of Las Nieves around 11:00 AM yesterday. Engine 31 was the first-arriving unit and reported smoke showing from the home. &gt;&gt;&gt;

Santa Ana - Firefighters received a call for a fire in a single-family home in the 400 block of W. 16th St. at 8:00 this morning. Crews found an exterior fire that was extending into a home and initiated an attack on the fire and search for residents.

Residents safely escaped from a fire in their home in the 3100 block of South Manitoba Drive in City of Santa Ana at approximately 5:27 a.m. Firefighters quickly knocked down fire in the garage, second floor, and attic in just 32 minutes with no injuries to civilians or &gt;&gt;

Garden Grove Hazardous Materials Incident Unified Command Statement: Unified Incident Command is pleased to report that the Garden Grove hazardous materials incident has been stabilized and all evacuation orders have been lifted.

Mama Duck’s ducklings needed help. A City of Laguna Niguel duck stood on a wall yesterday, quacking at someone in a car until they got out, saw her stuck ducklings, and reached out to animal services. Firefighters assisted with some ingenuity and “duck tape” to bring them to safety.

The Carbon Fire is 95% contained, and the Orange County Fire Authority has transitioned out of Unified Command with Brea Fire Department and CAL FIRE. The OCFA will continue supporting ongoing operations as needed. &gt;&gt;&gt;
