“We are VIPs, We Cannot Stand in Queues: KSCA Should Give 5 Tickets to Each MLA and Minister of Karnataka,” says Congress MLA Vijayananda Kashappanavar Bengaluru Congress MLA Vijayananda Kashappanavar has strongly criticized the Karnataka State Cricket Association (#KSCA) for denying tickets to legislators and ministers for the upcoming Indian Premier League (#IPL) matches starting March 28. Speaking to reporters, Kashappanavar said that despite availing government facilities such as security, KSCA has failed to show respect to elected representatives. “They are not issuing tickets to MLAs, ministers, or their families. Instead, they are asking people to book online. We all know how online booking works,it leads to black marketing. Tickets worth ₹5,000 are being sold for ₹35,000,” he alleged. The MLA demanded that at least five tickets be allotted to each legislator along with separate seating arrangements. “We are VIPs; we cannot stand in queues. Last time, we were made to sit in the general gallery with the public. This should not happen again,” he said, adding that the issue has been raised in the Assembly and taken up with the Speaker. Kashappanavar further revealed that the Deputy Chief Minister has assured legislators of resolving the matter by arranging tickets and ensuring proper seating. On the Home Minister’s meeting with KSCA, Kashappanavar dismissed claims of effective guidelines being issued. “There are no proper guidelines. KSCA has become too powerful because IPL matches are happening. They are collecting money and enjoying it. If this continues, we will fight against it,” he warned. Bengaluru Daycare Alleges Fired Employees Staged Videos in Extortion Plot at Capgemini Campus Bengaluru Little Scholars, a childcare provider operating at the #Capgemini campus in #Bengaluru, addressed a press conference in Bengaluru alleging a coordinated extortion and defamation campaign orchestrated by disgruntled former employees. According to the company's proprietor, Ms. Ramandeep Kaur and their advocate Aditya Krishna Pandey these individuals manipulated vulnerable children to stage distressing video footage in a premeditated plot for financial blackmail and job reinstatement. The sequence of events reportedly began on Thursday, June 25, 2026, following a physical and verbal altercation during working hours between two daycare employees, Ms. Sujata and Ms. Vijaya Laxmi R. Citing a strict zero-tolerance policy for workplace misconduct, Ms. Ramandeep ordered the immediate termination of both individuals and the confiscation of their credentials. While Ms. Vijaya Laxmi complied, Ms. Sujata allegedly refused to surrender her ID, demanding her pending salary as a precondition. Despite their termination, the two women repeatedly returned to the Capgemini campus over the following days, leading to interventions by ICREST Security. Little Scholars alleges that to manufacture leverage against the company, the accused bypassed strict security protocols to sneak a prohibited mobile phone into the daycare facility. "They specifically targeted vulnerable children who could not speak, relocated them to areas outside of our comprehensive CCTV coverage, and deliberately staged acts of distress to record them on video," #LittleScholars team stated. The company asserts that this manipulated footage was the cornerstone of the extortion plot. On June 29, in an attempt to de-escalate the crisis, Ms. Ramandeep transferred the full pending salaries plus 15 days of severance pay to the terminated employees. Despite receiving proof of payment, Ms. Sujata allegedly denied receiving the funds and threatened to release the staged videos to the media. The situation further escalated through the actions of the former Centre Manager, Ms. Manjula. The press release details that Ms. Manjula introduced an individual named "Mahender," who falsely impersonated a police officer from the Electronic City Police Station. Exploiting the panic surrounding the threat of leaked videos and a purportedly filed First Information Report (FIR), Mahender successfully pressured Ms. Ramandeep into transferring ₹20,000 for "legal fees." Shortly after, he utilized both his and Ms. Manjula's phones to demand an exorbitant sum of ₹2.5 Lakhs. When Ms. Ramandeep recognized the extortionate nature of the demand and refused to pay, Mahender initiated a campaign of psychological pressure, relentlessly calling and forwarding intimidating news reports. On Tuesday, June 30, Capgemini management summoned the involved staff members. Ms. Manjula reportedly attempted to convince her colleagues to defy the corporate investigation. However, acting on direct orders from Ms. Ramandeep, four junior staff members reported to the HAL Police Station. During this inquiry, Sub-Inspector Vidya confirmed that "Mahender" was a fraudulent impostor with no ties to law enforcement. Upon learning that the deception had been uncovered by legitimate police, Ms. Manjula reportedly absconded and remains out of contact. Little Scholars emphasized that corporate client Capgemini bears no fault in the matter, clarifying that Capgemini's role in the operational arrangement is strictly limited to providing the physical premises and infrastructure.

Transport Minister Conducts Surprise Night Inspection of BMTC Buses; Suspensions Ordered Bengaluru In a move aimed at tightening accountability and improving service quality, #Karnataka Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh conducted a series of surprise inspections on #Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (#BMTC) buses late Saturday night. Disguised with a mask to travel incognito, the Minister spent two hours from 7:10 pm to 9:10 pm, boarding over 10 buses across the city.He travelled through key areas, including Jayamahal, RT Nagar, Hebbal, Nagavara, Hennur and Geddalahalli. Throughout the exercise, the Minister acted as a regular commuter, purchasing tickets and engaging directly with passengers to gauge the quality of service and address grievances. Minister Byrathi Suresh directed officials to suspend the driver and conductor of bus KA 57 F 3372 following a specific lapse; the crew had reportedly failed to stop the vehicle at the Fun World bus stop, despite a passenger signaling for them to do so.During the unscheduled audit, the Minister also encountered the common commuter frustration of change-related disputes. On a bus plying the Hebbal–Nagashettyhalli route, the conductor requested the Minister to alight after he tendered a ₹100 note, citing a lack of change. Outside of the bus network, the Minister’s focus shifted to local enforcement when he intervened in a dispute at Nagashettyhalli. He reprimanded an auto-rickshaw driver who was demanding ₹36 for a trip that registered only ₹30 on the meter. Transport Minister confirmed that this operation is part of a broader initiative to improve public transport reliability. #ByrathiSuresh stated that such surprise inspections will continue across the city to enforce discipline among staff and ensure commuters receive efficient, hassle-free service.
