If China is copying us, it means we did something right. The Sujata Brand has set the benchmark. It is being copied shamelessly in Chinese factories. But, they can ONLY copy the brand. They can’t copy the quality, trust, and strength built in Bharat. 🇮🇳

I used to visit Chennai regularly for my import/export business. Now, back after 15 years, this time the agenda is manufacturing in Bharat While descending : Rajan my technical partner: Explaining how the city and roads are built and how jet engines work. Me, the typical Sindhi : “I wonder how many people down there would buy a rechargeable fan?”

Biggest difference I noticed between many Indian & Chinese factories: CLEANLINESS. Today I visited a small family workshop making electric suitcases. Tiny setup. But spotless floors, organized tools, clear workflow. And this isn’t a special case. I’ve seen even smaller factories here run with discipline. There are 1000s of such units across China. Factory size matters less than operating standards and mindset. Clean systems build strong businesses.

Everyone loves saying: "Why don't Indian brands make products like this?" But they don't see the real problem. A well-wisher sent me a reel of a product that would be a huge hit in India. I checked the numbers. China factory price: $20 Landed cost in India: ~₹3,000 Retail price needed: ~₹6,000 Too expensive for most Indians. The funny part? If we Indianised it, we could probably sell it for ₹3,000 and still make it work. But there is one big wall. Moulds. Just the tooling would cost around $80,000. Before selling even one unit. That's the real challenge with making products in India. Not ideas or demand. But the cost and risk of building from scratch. So for now, we focus on smaller bets. Products where we can afford to take the risk. Still, it hurts seeing great ideas and not being able to build them all. How can we solve this?

Why is China ahead of the World? I'll tell you WHY. I took a train Hong Kong → China at 8:20 AM. By 11, I was at my 1st factory for a meeting. Had my Lunch, then the second factory by 1:30 PM. 3:00 → third factory. 4:30 → fourth factory. By 6:30 PM, back on the train to Hong Kong. 🇭🇰 3 cities, 4 factories, 1 day. ✅ This works because of: - insane infrastructure, - tight ecosystems - train connectivity, and - factories being super prepared. Everything is ready for discussion. Quick in and out. You can’t measure this kind of productivity… until you experience it yourself.

This co-working space in Mumbai costed me just INR 100 for a day. That too in BKC. Has free WiFi, decent coffee and a good network of Founders. PS: I am old school, I need office spaces for my mind to work. How about you? BHIVE Workspace

We have to deliver 5000 fans tomorrow. But most workers haven’t returned after Diwali. So today, everyone is stepping up: - Accountants - Store Department - Moulding Department - Rajan (my business partner) ..all of them working on the line. No titles/hierarchy, just work that needs to get done. This is what real ownership looks like.

Lenskart profit/loss: 2022: ₹102 Cr (loss) 2023: ₹63.8 Cr (loss) 2024: ₹10.2 Cr (loss) 2025: ₹297.3 Cr (profit) Looks great, right? But ₹130 Cr of that profit isn’t from sales. It’s just from revaluation of payments. Still, the IPO is coming at ₹70,000 Cr value. That’s how IPOs in Bharat look now: - Valuations far from real - 100x FOMO-driven subscriptions - Promoters cashing out, while retail folks chase the listing pop This isn’t investing anymore. It’s a casino with extra steps. I’m staying out of it. I’m betting on myself and my team. We’ll keep building, learning from losses and growing from wins. Success isn’t about the spotlight. It’s about building something undeniable.

Importing BLDC Motor from China is cheaper. But, we are building it here in India. Even if volumes are small. Even if it takes longer. Because, this is the future. And staying ahead always pays off. We’re in China right now: - Scouting machines - Battery testing - BLDC setups - USB wire lines And more.. It is hectic. But this is what we love. Building the future in BHARAT.

India doesn't lack jobs. India lacks people who want to do real work. → Tool rooms are understaffed → Training centers are outdated → Founders are building plants with no one to run them Everyone's learning prompt engineering. No one’s learning how to fix a machine.

We are in a tricky situation. We don't want to import from China. But, Indian Manufacturers are quoting us 2.5x the price. A standard USB Cable is costing us ₹6 from China and ₹15 from India. So this is what we've decided: And this might sound crazy to you, but.. we're going to Buy the machines and build it in-house. This will give us 100% control over quality, cost, and scale. GOODBYE to margin stacking! And we're doing this because, we believe that: World is racing towards electrification and USB's are here to stay. What do you think about this move? 🇮🇳

Why import when we can make it better? One spring costs ₹10. We will use 50,000 every month → ₹60L/yr That’s $66,000 saved in foreign exchange exits from just ONE part. It also means: ✅ Jobs at factories ✅ Jobs at steel & plating plants ✅ Jobs at wire-making plants Millions of small parts like these can be made in India. Stop importing. Start making here. The benefits to our nation are incalcuable Now is the time. Kudos to Vishakh Ranotra for leading the way.

Price is not the problem. Cheap thinking is. Ujjwal aged all of 22 - already a factory owner visited today. There’s a 30+ year gap between me & him. He didn’t ask: → What’s the lowest price? He asked: → How do I make this better? → What should I do next? And this mindset changes everything. Between Rajan and me, we carry 60+ years of China, Bharat, manufacturing, export, and marketing experience. And we share it openly. If you only want cheap, we’re not the right fit. If you want to build better, bigger, smarter in Bharat - We’re here for you Thank you Ujjwal for trusting us with your moulds. Big things are coming. Ujjwal Lekhwani

Our container is on it's way to India from China. It has 5 products we will Build in Bharat. It has everything: - moulds - machines - parts - racks etc. But to be honest: It hurts that so much still had to come from China. So we’re fixing it step by step. Every shipment from China must be reduced - 40’HQ container this time - 20’ container next time The final goal is clear: Export 40’HQ containers from Bharat to the world. It’s time for the tide to turn.
