At the 12th IPU Conference in Samarkand, I spoke for India in the session on “Ensuring Political Rights for Women.” Under the leadership of Hon’ble PM, India is moving from women’s development to women-led development: record female voter participation, 1.45 million women elected at the grassroots, and a constitutional path to one-third women representation in our legislatures. India’s message is simple: Don’t just ask women to vote. Enable them to govern. Don’t just give them a seat. Give them authority. Don’t just speak of empowerment. Make it irreversible.

I spoke in Uzbekistan on ‘Digital Access & Rights in a Digital Era' at the 12th IPU Conference. With over a billion people connected and UPI making instant payments part of daily life, India has shown that digital scale and inclusion can go hand in hand. I highlighted how technology is widening access and building a future that: connects without excluding, innovates without exploiting and protects without controlling. The real test of this era is not how smart our machines become. It is whether the person with the cheapest phone, in poorest district has the gets the same access, protection and opportunity as everyone else.

I spoke for every young Indian who believes that honest effort deserves an honest opportunity. With the passage of the Public Examinations Amendment Bill, 2026, India’s first ever Anti Paper Leak framework comes into effect. Students spoke. The Government listened. Action followed. Systems changed. Because a paper leak does not merely compromise an examination. It can wipe out years of preparation in a single moment. Every student deserves an examination system where hard work and merit, not a leaked paper, decide the result. My speech in Parliament. Watch till the end.

In Parliament today, I spoke on the “cut money” arrangement between some doctors and diagnostic centres/ pathology labs. Diagnostic centres call it "marketing expense." Doctors call it "referral commission." All gets added to Patient's hospital bill. A silent transaction that isn't about your treatment. It's about who referred you. Watch this before your next medical test.

Paid homage to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji in Tashkent. Visited his monument and paid my respects, and walked along the road named in his honour here in Uzbekistan. It was a proud moment to see the respect with which his memory is preserved here, decades later. His simplicity, integrity and deep sense of duty continue to inspire generations 🇮🇳

Jab main opposition mein tha, tab Sawaal mera hathiyar tha. Aaj main treasury benches par hoon, ab Solution meri zimmedari hai. Therefore, I made a promise to myself that I will speak on this issue in Parliament, when the system is getting fixed. Kyonki mujhe headline nahin, mujhe outcome chahiye tha.

2013 to 2026. Same SRCC. Same speaker. A very different India. Thirteen years ago, much of the conversation around India was about unlocking our potential. Today, the conversation is about AI, next-gen technology, manufacturing, innovation and building the world’s biggest companies from India. And for anyone starting out today, that shift matters. We have gone from talking about India’s potential to talking about India’s scale.

Visited the Udaan Yatri café at Mumbai Airport and had chai for just ₹10. Was flying to Delhi and wanted chai before the flight. Spoke to several travellers while I was there. All of them happy, all of them saying the same thing: Easy on the pocket, good service, value for money. Affordable airport food is possible. And this is proof☕ ✈️

In Parliament today I proposed optional Joint filing of Income Tax Returns for married couples. Family A Both spouses earn ₹10 lakh each. Total household income is ₹20 lakh. Tax: zero Family B One spouse earns ₹20 lakh. The other stays home to raise their child. Total household income is ₹20 lakh. Tax: ₹1.92 lakh The only difference is how the salary is split between the two spouses. One roof. One kitchen. One household budget. But when tax time comes, the family disappears. The tax system sees two individuals. A husband and wife become strangers. No clubbing of income or rebates. In Parliament today I proposed optional joint filing of Income Tax Returns for married couples, so families with uneven incomes are not unfairly penalised. If implemented, then Family A and Family B both will pay Zero Tax.

₹19,000 crore. That is what Banks collected in last 3 years just for not maintaining ‘Minimum Account Balance.’ Not from the rich. Not from big borrowers. From the poorest accounts in the system. Their crime? They didn’t have enough money. A farmer misses the minimum balance - Penalty. A pensioner withdraws money for medicine - Penalty. A daily wage worker falls short by a few hundred rupees - Penalty. The poor keep money in banks for safety. Not to be quietly fined for being poor. Financial inclusion should protect small savings, not punish small balances. In Parliament today I proposed ending minimum balance penalties so the banking system stops charging people for their poverty.

The most damning paper leak story in this entire debate is about a Congress minister whose own office was leaking exam papers. 2016, Karnataka, Congress in power. Class 12 Chemistry paper leaks. Re-exam paper leaks too. Exam cancelled twice. Leak double, trauma triple. CID arrests the minister's own PA for leaking paper. No resignation follows, just an excuse. Fast forward to 2026, that same minister runs the same department again today, under Congress Govt in Karnataka. These are the standards of accountability of the Congress.

Congratulations to all Gig Workers and Delivery Partners. There is good news for you. Central Government’s draft Social Security Rules are the first step towards recognition, protection and dignity for your work. Even though the Platforms (Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, etc.) chose not to listen to your voices, the people of this country and the government did. This is a small win, but an important win.

If voters can HIRE a neta, they should be able to FIRE the neta too. If Indian voters have the Right to Elect, they should have the ‘RIGHT TO RECALL’ too. Right to Recall is a mechanism that empowers voters to de-elect an elected representative, before their term ends, if they fail to discharge their duties. If we can impeach the President, the Vice President and judges, and move a no confidence motion against an elected government mid term, then why should voters be forced to tolerate a non performing MP or MLA for five full years. Five years is too long. There is no profession where you underperform for five years with zero consequences. More than 24 democracies in the world such as the United States, Switzerland etc. provide arecall or voter initiated removal mechanisms in some form. If Indian voters have the right to elect, they should have the right to recall too. However, there should be safeguards to prevent misuse: Threshold - At least 35 to 40 percent voters should back a recall trigger through a verified petition before any recall vote is held Cooling period - A minimum 18 month lock in after election so the representative has time to deliver and cannot be targeted immediately after winning Clear grounds- Recall only for proven misconduct, fraud, corruption or serious neglect of duty, not everyday political disagreements Final test- Recall succeeds only if more than 50 percent voters support removal in the recall vote This is citizen empowerment. It will push parties to field performers, reduce corruption, and bring democracy back to accountability. Voters have the right to vote someone into office and they should have the right to vote them out of office too.

1 extra kg of baggage and airline bills you exorbitantly. But 4 hours of flight delay and airline owes you nothing. Airlines track your baggage weight to the gram. Why don’t they value your time to the hour? If they can charge you by the gram, they must compensate you by the hour. Today in Parliament, I asked the Civil Aviation Minister whether they are working towards a compensation framework for passengers affected by significant flight delays!

I demanded in Parliament that PATERNITY LEAVE should be a legal right in India. When a child is born, both parents are congratulated. But caregiving responsibility falls on one. The mother. A father should not have to choose between caregiving for his newborn and keeping his job. And a mother should not have to go through childbirth & recovery without her husband’s support Right after childbirth the woman, needs her husband’s presence the most. The husband’s caregiving responsibility towards his wife is equally important. I raised this issue in Parliament because caregiving is a shared responsibility. Our laws must reflect that.
