Terran R build is continuing to ramp up this fall. From avionic builds to expanding of our machine shop capabilities and more. 🔥In prop, teams completed assembly of the second Aeon R engine for first flight and reduced average cycle times across key engine components by 50%. 💻The avionics team is building the flight hub box, which will serve as Terran R’s central node for routing data and distributing power to critical systems. 🚀Welding of the first stage tank is progressing with 3 circumferential friction stir welds now complete.

Terran R Build Progress – The past 2 months have been packed with rapid advancements across design, manufacturing, and testing. From welded barrels to hot fires, checkout some of the highlights on the path to first flight. 🚀 In Long Beach: Completed the first circumferential friction stir weld for flight hardware, joining the stage 2 common dome to the stage 2 LOX barrel. 🔥 Over at Stennis Space Center hot fire testing continues with thrust vector control (TVC) motion up to 5.5 degrees, the maximum range of the stand! 🏗️ At LC-16 in Cape Canaveral, Florida, the first steel columns for Terran R’s horizontal integration facility were erected. 👉
