Fake tough guy here. You don’t throw an 80 mph slider to hit someone on purpose. Have some situational awareness. Celebrate the free base and get your ass the first.

People are calling for the pitcher to hit this kid. Me as a 12 year old, I definitely would have. As an adult, someone has to stop this. Coach umpire someone shouldn’t let this happen.

Wow! Ok I watched this over and over. This is crazy… how do you think this should be handled? What would you do if this was your kid catcher and runner?

I’m in our clubhouse (locker room) and it’s dead silent. I have 5 players in here early. THIS is why next season I’m banning cell phones in the clubhouse. I honestly believe this is hurting our kids communication skills.

This isn’t the biggest problem in baseball but it’s definitely top 5. As a fan how upset are you that you’re paying hundreds of dollars to watch this at the park?

Every single year the umpires of the little league World Series are terrible. With out fail, I know they are volunteering but LLWS is getting exactly what they are paying for. If you’re putting an excellent product on the field with the kids, the adults MUST BE better.

Everyone is talking about this video, but I think this is two people trying to avoid each other and Conner just making a mistake at the shortstop position. The slide is clearly off the base and then he comes clearly off the base to meet the slide. I think he had it pre-decided in his mind that he was going to try to avoid a direct slide and they just ended up at the same place. I could be wrong unless the shortstop is trying to get some sort of obstruction or interference call #raisethecone #pittsburg #Pirates #Raysup #Tampa #Mlb

You can not teach kids how to know the zone when the adult who is supposed to be in charge is doing crap like this. The kids all handled this great the catcher knowing the umpire has plans and wants to leave asap sets up way off the plate, the pitcher hits the spot, the batter didn’t swing and did a pretty good job not throwing a justified fit.

My previous post made it seem like I’m defending this douche, I’m not he was definitely a douche and it was personal with him. I was merely stating that the pitcher and batter have to visually engage each other now due to rules and I can see where wearing a crooked hat would need to be corrected. It also looks terrible and honestly looks f-ing stupid.

There has to be an answer to pitching position players. It’s embarrassing to the game as a whole. Maybe a minimum fastball speed 80 ? I mean you young bucks are always talking about velocity….

Like him or not, this is how you hit. This guy hit for average and power. Teach this type of hitting again and the game will be better. It will be more exciting, it will be a much better offensive product. Thank you Alex.

This kid is 6’7” 145 pounds, Class of 27, Pitching in the mid 70’s All respect to him. This isn’t to be derogatory towards him. But whoever is working with him is not helping him. This kid is the kind of project that if he dedicated himself and followed my training, no gimmicks, no metrics, just blue collar hard work & mechanical fixes, he would gain 10-15 mph in 12-16 months.

I have heard mixed feelings about the Cooperstown Experience. Late games running into the early morning and playing in terrible conditions like in this video. What’s worse: This money grab or perfect games? Shout out to this young man for hitting a tank in these conditions.

What’s crazy to me (and this goes back to kids not being taught the game) is that the catcher doesn’t know why it’s interference! Do you know why?

How do you get ejected for this? First off the umpire has a look at me strike out ring up. I hate that, especially at this level. Secondly Why is this coach ejected, what did he do? How insecure are you blue? This ump knows he is on tv and is wanting to be the show.

Lots to unpack, was a forfeit the right call. Looks like a low level league so the stakes aren’t that high. The call is a reasonable call. The coach has to be gone, forever. They didn’t even try to hide it. How about big fellas swing though….

More terrible volunteers. It seems like every game is ended on a bad called strike three. As a coach we tell kids to protect with two strikes, but you can’t punish kids for taking that pitch. I know exactly what that coach said to that little boy. “It’s OK buddy. It was a ball. Everybody knows it was a ball. You did the right thing.” It’s time for Little league to address these terrible umpires.

Typical 💩 show men’s softball. A couple takeaways Nice relay from outfield to home. The runner unless sliding (and they are all in shorts so he’s not sliding) has no where else to go. The older man catcher is butt hurt and acts like an ass hole and is probably only talking because he’s bigger than the runner.

Here is another video from Cooperstown. I get that it looks like the kids are having fun but this wouldn’t be the baseball experience I would want. The kid almost blew out his knee rounding second. How on earth do you even hold on to the baseball to throw it?

(Not my commentary on the video) The first base extra bag rule here is dumb. If you’re going to have both bases, both should be able to be used. This inside throw is the example to why…. Now this umpire calls him out way too fast…. What do you think?

Look I know it’s 162 games in 182 days but come on man. Run it out! You’re making 13 million this year hitting .201 on a bad team. This is a head coach issue and a culture problem.

Breakdown, Telling the umpire he’s a f-ing B warrants an ejection, not a right cross. The coach definitely shouldn’t have said that, but honestly I feel the umpire mishandled all of this. What do you think?
