A closer look at Pixel 11 Pro’s HiLight feature which uses colored LED lights built around the camera flash. Currently it glows only when: - your fav contacts call you - you talk to Gemini That’s it. For a feature so hyped, having such limited functionality at launch with no third-party app support is straight up disappointing.

> Hardware Engineer announced as CEO > Immediately starts spending more on R&D A new era at Apple is about to begin. We now have someone leading the company who understands every product inside out. John Ternus clearly seems focused on pushing new innovation at Apple. iPhone Fold, smart glasses, AI wearables/pendants and many more rumored product categories are expected under his leadership. The future looks really exciting!

So apparently Apple has begun production of a variable aperture camera for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. This would let the lens physically change its aperture depending on lighting, opening up in low light and narrowing in bright scenes. The result should be better exposure control and more natural depth of field. Korean publication ETNews reports that Sunny Optical has already started producing the tiny actuators responsible for this movement with full camera module assembly expected to kick off in early summer. It’s happening! Concept video by fpt./YouTube

I’m starting to see the appeal of a foldable iPhone. Considering the reaction to Z Fold 8, this form factor might actually be it. I think a lot of people are going to love it once they get to experience it. Less than two months until launch 👀
