Playing with Blenders compositor. It's the same rendered scene but with additional passes so I can give it a toon look without touching the materials.

Today I'm playing with custom point light shaders. Using the "Ray Length" for the effect. I'll share the shader setup in the replies.

Tension Map / Dynamic Squish 1. Geo Node to capture the distance between "Edge Vertices" node Position 1 & 2 as `before_edge_dist` 2. Curve modifier 3. Geo Node same again as `after_edge_dist`. `after_edge_dist / before_edge_dist = diff`. 4. Use the diff to mix normal maps

Physics effect is a bit subtle. Probably not worth it for general animation.

Gray CTR bones key animated & green DEF bones apply corrections. 1. Simple flat hidden mesh, using hook modifiers to follow the CTR bones. 2. Hidden mesh uses "outside" shrinkwrap to conform to sphere (or any object) 3. DEF bones are damp tracked to vertex groups on hidden mesh

Did a quick model of a couch, then dumped a sculpt based on the amazing art by //Taco/kurt/ of the anaconda onto it. I think it might be her couch now...

WIP. The final piece of the puzzle. A dedicated tail rig, unlike the full body with this rig you can control and drag from the tail tip to pose for easier control.

Without the camera. Same method a in previous post. It's a secondary mesh following the curve, animated and being shrinkwrapped by the snake.

Geometry Nodes based eye correction. Calculates & normalizes the surface distance from the iris to the vertex and passes to the shader as an attribute to sample. [See replies for the node setup].

Small update as I haven't posted much. Still slowly levelling up Blender skills in the background but nothing to really share yet. So in the meantime have some cheap trick noise hypno shader. Imagining how it might be experienced in the mind as it pulses over the neurons.

See replies for download link. I find I'm always creating empties to pivot and control the camera that it might as well be it's own rig. This is my first attempt and very experimental.

[BTS] Learnt a new method for controlling the Camera. It's now following & focusing on an empty object in the scene. I found it a lot easier for better head movement.
