You can debate feels all day… But when you freeze elite hitters at heel plant: 👉 the back side starts releasing 👉 the pelvis starts moving 👉 the swing starts launching That pattern shows up a LOT. Watch the front heel… What starts happening the second it hits the ground?

AROUND THE WORLD 🌎⚾️ 5 balls.5 locations. One focus: 👉 Flight + direction. Using the MAV mats, I move around the hitter tossing each ball to a different zone. The goal isn’t mechanics today… It’s learning how to:👉 Control ball flight👉 Match direction to location👉 Adjust without panicking👉 Stay athletic through contact Middle-away? Stay through it.Inside? Different flight.Deep? Different feel.Out front? Different intent. This is where hitters start learning how to actually control the barrel instead of just “working on mechanics. Some days are mechanics. Some days are movement. Today was about producing the right flight from every zone. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

🚨 HITTERS — Your front heel plant can make or break your swing. 🚨 When that front heel hits the ground, your head should stop moving forward — ideally right at heel plant or within 1–2 frames after. Why? Because drifting through the swing kills launch time, robs swing speed, and throws off your swing path — all of which crush your chances of consistent, hard contact. ✅ Lock in your head at heel plant. ✅ Maximize power, speed, and accuracy. 💥 Your best contact starts here. #BaseballTips #SoftballTips #HittingMechanics #SwingPower

Don’t be a Tokyo Drifter A tiny difference can have HUGE impacts. Most hitters don’t get beat… they drift. That tiny move forward after landing? That’s everything. Try this stupid fix 👇 👉 Stand on the plate 👉 Step away from the plate with the rear foot 👉 Slight inward turn That’s loading. That’s ready. Don’t push out of it— turn out of it. Now you’re stacked and loaded— not falling into the swing. Small moves. Big results. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

⚾️ “DON’T DROP YOUR HANDS!” — every coach ever 😤 Meanwhile… (Watch video). 🕺🔥 Here’s the truth 👉 It’s totally fine to drop your hands in your load… AS LONG AS they get back up near the shoulder when it’s go time. 💥 This isn’t a glitch — it’s a rhythm thing.😎 🎥 Watch the video. Your favorite hitters are “breaking the rules” too

Most hitters think the stride works like this: Foot forward… back hip stays cocked, coiled, loaded whatever the term, then WHAM. I get it. Sounds cool. But the swing isn’t a Looney Tunes slingshot. For instance, a toe-tap stride, the whole system moves forward together — head, torso, and lower half toward the pitcher in sync. Look at the yellow lines. (Start to finish) The roof → spine → base all move forward into the position to fire. Where hitters get in trouble is when the foot goes forward but the head and torso stay back. Now they’re stuck on the backside… the front shoulder pops up and the barrel starts down too soon causing a steep swing with balls into the ground or missing under that one fastball. The stride isn’t just a step. It’s a controlled forward move of the whole system. Study the lines. Agree or disagree? ⚾️ Train with an expert. Not an influencer

The Problem w/ extension drills !!! Too many hitters try to “muscle” the swing. They squeeze the bat, fight the barrel, and kill all the natural whip that creates real power. The best hitters don’t force the barrel — they release it. Loose hands allow the barrel to move freely and naturally through the zone. It doesn’t mean lazy or sloppy. It means relaxed enough to let your body’s sequence — not tension — deliver the barrel. Think: smooth → quick → explosive. When your hands are loose, your forearms and wrists stay live. That’s where the “Power V” starts to form — the natural extension of your hands and barrel after contact. This in many other Hiting tips can be found. In the Summers Method App

SAME RANGE!!!!! 15 hitters with with some similar ranges. ( this pitch is Not low and away) - You can listen to coaches argue online about what’s right, how to move, stance, set up etc. BUT when that swing starts most of the good ones are pretty damn similar! #StanceSwings

Hitting Dumbed Down -Ever feel like you’re dragging the barrel too far when you start your swing? You’re not alone—THIS HITTER struggled with the same issue.” Instead of getting on plane early and driving the ball, the barrel was dragging, getting stuck, and leading to weak ground balls and pop ups the other way THIS HITTERS THOUGHT/ fix? “Think about slicing your shoulder toward the ball. Don’t let your barrel drift too far behind.” “When you ‘slice the shoulder,’ you create a tighter, more efficient turn behind the ball, staying on plane longer and driving through the pitch.” “The result for him? More consistent contact, more power, and the barrel is exactly where it needed to be.” “If you have this issue & Next time you’re in the cage, focus on slicing that shoulder—it could be the key to unlocking your best swing.” “Tag someone who needs this tip, and let’s get to work! 💪⚾””””for those not in at Tampa Bay, I do a remote training via the SEAMSUP APP. Bat Speed Doesn’t set up swing path!!!!Watch 35+ hitters in this video. U can literally close your eyes at this point in the swing. If done correctly you’ll hit it, if wrong, you’ll miss. Different eras, ages, levels, sports, coaches, teams and origins, all doing the same thing. This position is the most important of all of them (especially for younger hitters). No matter how fast the bat is traveling at this point, if it’s wrong, you’ll miss!!! Approach will range from the sternum to the belly button (high / low) and on the shoulder or off a little (in/ out). Watch your videos closely, if you’re missing a lot, this could be the culprit! *the standard feel for this is place the middle of the bat below the deltoid (in the boney area below the shoulder, now take swings connected. Move the bat up higher or lower based on the tee position, turn. As u get comfortable, then add all the snapping, whipping etc u want. But u better get through this position before contact) #StanceDoctor

Everyone obsessed with that front shoulder “up”at toe touch… listen up. When you land at toe touch → heel plant, the front shoulder benefits the hitter more if it is slightly down or at least parallel. Not shrugged. Not lifted. Why? Because when that shoulder pops UP, your torso dumps all the tension you created during the load. No tension = no stored energy. No stored energy = you’re not maximizing rotation, swing path, or power. Period. It’s been this way since the beginning of time (uh not really, but you get the point) — and it continues to prove true. This is how hitters maximize their own power, no matter the size.

🌪️ THE TORNADO DRILL 🌪️ (For hitters who are “serious about getting to 100 mph bat speed”) Because if you can hit a baseball while airborne after a 360° spin while locating the ball mid-flight… A normal fastball will look like it’s standing still. “100 swings a day = 100 mph bat speed.” Science.

✨ It’s not about how you stand—it’s where you start! ✨ There’s no “perfect” stance, but there is a perfect starting point. Here’s the deal: when good hitters reach toe touch, they all fall within a “range of great.” ✅ Front shoulder down: Keep it level or slightly down—this sets you up for success. ✅ Knob back: Think behind your back foot to the catcher’s head. 🎯 You’ll never see elite hitters at toe touch with their front shoulder pointing at the sky or their knob aiming at the pitcher (well… not often). So stand however you like, stride your way, but if you can consistently hit these key checkpoints at toe touch, you’re giving yourself a real shot at success. Simple. Effective. Game-changing. 💥

Hot take: If someone argues that MAX (not early) bat speed happens *behind* you, they’re probably the same person who thinks the Earth is flat. 🌍🤦♂️ Watch this clip closely—see that blur? When does the blur REALLY start and Stop???? Video really doesn’t lie! But hey, keep that theory strong if you’re into grounders. #SwingFactsNotFeelings #WakeAndRake”* Clip was lifted from Craig Hyatt

All great hitters — no matter the guru, teaching style, or era — line up within a range of these 4 checkpoints. L.A.C.P Period eh, Period E, Period A…..😂 1. Launch: Front Heel plant. Hips fire. Barrel goes back. Torque is created. 2. Approach: Set the barrel plane. Knob aiming where you’re letting it go. Slightly below parallel = $$$. 3. Contact: Barrel + chest = parallel (or close). Hips cleared. Barrel trailing hands. The moment of truth. 4. Power V: My personal favorite. Pure direction, length, and adjustability. Gives you grace when you’re a touch early. Learned this blueprint in 2010 from the master himself, Coach Ep Jake Epstein — and it’s still the foundation today. L.A.C.P. = Consistency, adjustability, and juice. #LACP #HittingMechanics #BarrelFlow #Contactandconsistency #SwingSc
