#UnrealEngine Vite 10,000 skinned meshes. 100,000,000 triangles. 100% dynamic shadow casting. Pushing our Vite #ECS Flecs-based framework to the absolute limit, running high-density crowds using #MetaHumans skeletons, 10 000 of Skinned Birds and Spiders at very high performance on mid-tier hardware (8-core CPU + 9600xt) This is not #UE5 Mass Join Vite Community (Will be sharing demo): Consider contributing to our Hard Engine Dev Work #gamedev #indiedev #engine #GraphicsProgramming #ECS #CPP

#UnrealEngine After making some engine modification to Vite now I'm able to make a totally unfair comparison. Vite with RT GI + RT Reflections + DFAO + Tessellation No dips below 60 fps 5.7 #Lumen With Reflections Goes as low as 12fps! 5x slower 5.7 No Dynamic GI, No reflections, Shadows/AO of less quality No dips below 50 fps (20% slower) Yes, even when running both #Raytraced GI and Reflections the #AMD #RDNA2 6700 (#PS5 Equivalent) outperforms barebones #UE5 on UE Vite I made a video recording with my phone to display the actual framerate as PC recording lowers FPS: Download the builds and try for yourself: Join and post your results: Support Vite: #gamedev #rendering #engine

I have just ported #PhysX to my #UnrealEngine Fork! This engine is very close to what #Embark is running for #TheFinals #ARCRaiders The performance benefit is visible not only on Simulation but also on Sweeps/Queries. In the video here, the CharacterMovement on Wall Collide performance is compared when running on Chaos (0.14ms) vs PhysX (0.11ms) a ~25% improvement! #gamedev #optimization #cpp #physics
