Two police officers walked into a 92-year-old man’s bedroom and gave him a choice: pepper spray or a Taser. He was sitting in a wheelchair. Donald Burgess was an amputee with dementia living in a care home in St Leonards-on-Sea, England. He’d threatened staff with a dinner knife, but a senior police official later admitted he was alone in his room and posed no risk to anyone. Instead of calming him down, the officers pepper sprayed him, hit him with a baton, and Tasered him. He went to the hospital, caught Covid, and died 22 days later. The two officers were cleared of assault in court but have now been fired for gross misconduct and banned from policing. I back the police 100%, and that’s exactly why officers like these have to go. Good cops deserve better than being lumped in with this. What should have happened to these officers?

A disturbing video has surfaced showing Peter Carman, the Australian man accused of murdering 17-year-old Thanchanok Donhomla in Pattaya Thailand, being seen on CCTV removing her body from his hotel room. Now a separate video has emerged of him breaking down and apologizing directly to her parents. An apology does not bring that little girl back and it does not erase what that family is now living with for the rest of their lives. Thai authorities have him in custody facing murder and concealment of a body charges and this case is only getting darker the more that comes out. Rest in peace Thanchanok. Justice is coming.

A 31-year-old airport security officer in Argentina named Lucía Fernanda Díaz Da Mota was running one of the most calculated dating scams you will ever hear about - she would find men on dating apps, take them out to dinner, go home with them, drug their drinks until they passed out, and walk out the door with their watches, phones, perfume, and luggage. Security cameras caught her entering an elevator with one victim while kissing him and hours later she is seen leaving alone dragging a suitcase. When investigators raided her home they found luxury watches, men’s cologne, and suitcases believed to belong to multiple victims. She was arrested at Ezeiza Airport while on psychiatric leave and authorities are now investigating whether she was working alone or part of a larger criminal network. Dating apps have made it easier than ever for predators to find targets and this is a reminder that no matter how normal someone seems on a screen you truly do not know who you are letting into your life. Be careful out there.

A woman hiking in Canada nearly became a grizzly’s next meal and the video circulating right now is genuinely one of the most intense wildlife encounters you will ever watch - her dog is with her, a massive grizzly is right there, and somehow she kept her head together long enough for both of them to walk away breathing. That is not a small thing. Most people talk tough until nature is standing ten feet in front of them and every instinct in your body is screaming to run, and running is exactly the worst thing you can do. Grizzlies are built to chase, they top out over 700 pounds and can cover ground faster than any human alive. The people who survive these moments are the ones who override pure fear with pure discipline and this woman did exactly that. If you hike, camp, or spend any real time in the wilderness - bear spray is not optional, it is the difference between a story you tell and one somebody else tells about you. A man walks straight onto someone else’s property, up to a small tree in their front yard, and starts hacking at it with a bat - acting like he’s judge, jury, and HOA enforcement all in one. Whatever “warning” he thinks he gave doesn’t matter. That’s not how private property works. You don’t get to self-appoint as code enforcement and start destroying someone’s landscaping because you don’t like a tree. This is exactly how situations escalate into something far worse. Homeowners have every right to defend their property from this. What would you do if this was your front yard?

A man tried forcing his way into a stranger’s Rolls-Royce while she was still sitting in it at a Miami valet, and he got tased and cuffed for it almost immediately. Whatever he was thinking, trying to climb into an occupied luxury car in broad daylight is a special kind of bold and reckless. Security clearly didn’t hesitate, and honestly, neither should they in a situation like that. What’s wrong with people today is a fair question, because this kind of brazen behavior keeps showing up in broad daylight like there’s no fear of consequences anymore.

NEW: A California mother smashes through a school bus window and climbs inside to get her son out - after the bus sat on the side of Highway 49 for nearly an hour with kids stuck inside. A woman in L.A. appears to hit a person in the street, then calmly walks to a fire hydrant to wash herself off before leaving the scene entirely. No word yet on what led up to it or what happened to the victim. Doesn’t matter what the reason was - if you hit someone, you’re legally required to stop, render aid, and report it. Leaving the scene turns an accident into a felony, and “I panicked” has never once held up in court. One decision made in fear can cost someone their freedom for years.

Two dogs were left completely alone in an Oklahoma apartment for nearly a week after their owners were deported - ICE picked the owner up directly from that apartment so they knew without question that those animals were inside, but no call was ever made to animal control. The apartment manager was the one who finally noticed something was wrong and made the call. By the time the animal welfare officer got there the place was destroyed - furniture chewed through, trash dug up, two terrified dogs cowering in the back bedroom trembling and barking. The officer made it clear his issue was not political - he said he would make the same call against any agency that left animals behind in that condition and that it is standard protocol to notify animal control any time an arrest leaves pets alone in a home. If you own animals and face any kind of uncertain situation there needs to be someone designated to care for them.

A hiker came around a blind corner on a trail at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park Alaska and found herself face to face with Bear 909 - one of the most well known Alaskan Coastal Brown Bears in the park - along with her two cubs. Instead of panicking she stepped off the trail about 12 to 15 feet, stopped when the terrain ran out, stayed calm, used one voice, and let the bears pass. That is textbook bear encounter protocol and she executed it perfectly under pressure that would have most people completely frozen. The bears at Brooks are habituated to humans and have a high tolerance because of the salmon food source in the area but they are still wild animals that can turn defensive in a split second if they feel threatened. The number one rule - never run. Running triggers the predatory instinct and at that point the encounter changes completely. Always carry bear spray and know how to use it before you ever set foot in bear country. Could you remain that calm in that moment?

He is now facing murder and concealment of a body charges and that flight home is the last thing he will be seeing for a very long time. As flames spread, she climbed onto a ladder, threw each dog down to safety, then hung by her hands from the railing while firefighters climbed up to rescue her. She survived with minor injuries. Her dogs survived because she chose love over fear. People across the world are calling her a hero — and it’s hard to argue. An 8-foot shark was caught on camera hunting in the shallow waters at a sandbar in the Florida Keys, chasing down a large Tarpon in water that looks barely deep enough to swim in. This is a reminder that during early summer these apex predators move into the shallows to feed - and they don’t care who else is out there. WATCH: Protesters stormed the home of Vickrum Digwa’s family in Southampton, England after his murder conviction. Digwa was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 21 years for stabbing 18-year-old Henry Nowak to death in December 2025. Then listen to what comes next - this is the emergency call Digwa made after the stabbing claiming to be the victim. Telling operators Nowak had racially abused him and attacked him first. The court determined every single word of it was a lie. While Digwa was on that call Henry Nowak was dying on the street. He told officers nine times he could not breathe and four times he had been stabbed. Officers handcuffed him instead of helping him. The Maldives is one of the most beautiful places on the planet but the ocean floor there is a completely different story - this woman accidentally stepped on a stingray while wading in shallow water with a baby in her arms and it is a reminder that what looks like a peaceful paradise can turn dangerous in an instant. Stingray stings are excruciatingly painful and in rare cases can be deadly depending on where the barb lands. I am not putting a baby’s feet anywhere near open water without knowing exactly what is underneath the surface especially in the Maldives where stingrays, sea urchins, and other hazards blend right into the sand. The ocean is not a kiddie pool no matter how clear and blue it looks. Would you let your baby wade in water like this?
