Roy Keane takes BRUTAL swipe at Sir Alex Ferguson! Gary Neville asks the panel on the The Overlap if they could replay one match, what would it be? He turns to Roy: “Would you say Juventus when you got the yellow card?” Roy’s not sure and says it’s all part of the journey. Gerrard then asks if that was his best performance. Roy, typically, plays it down: “I don’t think so.” Neville comes back: “Roy, everyone says it is and Sir Alex did an interview the other day where he said it was as well.” Then the swipe: “Has he got another book out? 😂 Don’t be getting me that book for Christmas whatever you do!” Interestingly, Roy says he’s made his peace with the whole thing. For years he didn’t think he deserved his medal because he was suspended for the final after getting booked in that second leg against Juventus. He says he only “accepted” it about two years ago on a drive back to Ireland: “It came to me. Truthfully. I got a bit of peace with all of it. That was all part of my journey. I accepted the situation and that I maybe deserved a medal for it.” I’m glad he’s got there. He most certainly deserved that medal. He was immense in that second leg, driving United to the final at the Camp Nou when it looked like it was slipping away. Another thing I’d like him to settle after all these years is the feud with his former boss. They achieved so much together and I’m sure the respect is still there. Both are stubborn and both have their gripes, but it would be a real shame if they never properly reconciled. Get Fergie on the Overlap. What an episode that would be!

Carra goes in two-footed on Ferdinand and Morgan: You’re EMBARRASSING! Stop talking NONSENSE! Jamie Carragher has laid into Piers Morgan and Rio Ferdinand for their defence of Ronaldo after his humiliating fallout with the Portugal manager. Speaking on the debut episode of Overlap Daily, he went in hard: “People think it’s really good to be in with people in the game. This is when it’s a problem. So you see people like Piers Morgan and Rio Ferdinand, who are big people in the media, whether you like them or not, absolutely embarrassing themselves with the nonsense that they’re coming out with, because they know Ronaldo and they want to get an interview with him.” “You can know someone and try and look after them a bit, but you can’t defend the indefensible; it’s embarrassing.” Piers, who’s basically Ronaldo’s PR man at this point, will no doubt respond 😂 Rio has already lost credibility as a pundit with the way he blindly defends Manchester United while working with the club. This just confirms it.

NEW REVELATIONS emerge in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park tiger attack. It’s come to light that a mother desperately fought to stop the young man from leaping into the enclosure, only to be overpowered in front of her two children. Eyewitness Anthony Hunt later told the Telegraph: “He overpowered her and jumped off. She seemed really frightened. We spoke to her after and she was like, ‘I tried to pull him back’ but I guess she didn’t want to risk her own life as well.” Hunt, who was at the park with his girlfriend Scarlett, then gave Sky News a harrowing account of what unfolded. They had been photographing the tiger, Altai, when its demeanour suddenly shifted. “We noticed the tiger’s behaviour change. Its eyes locked on to something in the enclosure. We thought maybe he’s getting fed. When Scarlett was taking photos, we suddenly saw in the camera lens that a guy had entered the enclosure.” Once inside, Hunt said, the man “bowed down, on all fours, started praying, and looking up at the sky”. The tiger was still on its raised platform at that point before it “leapt off the landing, and sniffed the guy”. Hunt described the visitor as almost “in a trance” and “not attached to reality”. Witnesses shouted at him to play dead, but he appeared not to understand and was instead telling the tiger to “stop being naughty” as it pawed at him. Moments later the animal’s eyes locked on and it attacked. Hunt had already spotted the man earlier that day, dancing “erratically” with headphones in as he arrived and parked. At the time he thought nothing of it. South Yorkshire Police have since confirmed the man was visiting alone and described him as “vulnerable”. He tragically died at the scene.

😡 Johnny Rotten EXPLODED at the Good Morning Britain hosts the second they brought up his old Sex Pistols bandmates. The interview had barely started when Ranvir mentioned he’d called them a “karaoke band”. That was all it took. He tore into them immediately: “Bleeding right and all! Cheek of them! Going out without me. Singing the songs I wrote, the words I wrote and the presentation I created.” Ranvir tried to calm it: “You should’ve joined them.” Johnny wasn’t having it. “No mam. I worked enough with them in the first place. They’re deceitful, lying hyenas and I never want another thing to do with them.” Still fuming, he shut it down: “So can we drop the karaoke band! They’re imitating me and that’s really kind of insulting.” Unpredictable as ever. 😂 I bet the hosts wish they’d never mentioned it!

🔥 WATCH THIS: Paul Merson RAGING at Manchester City over their industrial-scale cheating, and the moments they’ve denied other teams, players and fans. Merse is saying what a lot of fans have been feeling since the guilty verdicts. The cheating didn’t just help City. It won them the Premier League. He says there’s “absolutely no chance” they would have done it without it. Without the ability to ignore PSR the way everyone else had to, they would have been miles off the top teams. They simply wouldn’t have been able to compete with the legitimate revenue streams the others were generating. The players didn’t win those leagues, “them upstairs” did, by buying all the best players and building a squad no one else was allowed to match. When Clinton Morrison tried to defend them (“they still have to go out and play, Merse”), Merson nearly exploded: “OH COME ON! They had all the best players! They had two best players in every position and they dominated!” Then he went further. Medals and trophies are almost irrelevant next to what actually matters. Life is about moments, and City’s ownership have taken those moments away from other people. He pointed to Manchester United at Sunderland in 2012 — the day Aguero scored in the last seconds against QPR to clinch City’s first title, while United were left standing on the pitch at the Stadium of Light. That was at the height of the cheating. “Life is all about moments and you’ve taken it away from other people. Them upstairs at Man City have nicked other people’s moments in life.” Well put, Paul Merson 👏

🔥 Winston Marshall was on FIRE on BBC Newsnight! He went straight for the PM, ripping into the claim that he “came back to Westminster to make changes as if he’s some outsider, not the ultimate career politician who’s spent his life in the bubble”. Then came the real fireworks, as he clashed with Green activist Faiza Shaheen over immigration and benefits. Marshall exposed the ASTONISHING reality: 1.85 million foreign nationals are claiming a staggering £23 BILLION in welfare! His point was simple and devastating — the Labour ideology will never put the British people first. “They’re not British! We’ve got to start putting British people first!” Shaheen, as you’d expect, was offended and pushed back, saying we invited these people here to work in particular sectors where there were labour shortages. Marshall wasn’t having it: “So. So what.” She repeated the point: “The point is, we’ve asked people to come here and work in these sectors.” His reply was blunt: “We should be prioritising the British people.” Why can’t people like Faiza just admit this is wrong, unsustainable, and a betrayal of the British people? Mass low-wage immigration has been a catastrophe. If she actually cared, she’d call out the £23 billion black hole instead of blindly defending a policy that makes her feel virtuous. Like Winston Marshall says, put the British people FIRST. No more excuses.

This was one of the most PAINFUL CAR CRASH interviews you’ll ever see with Labour foreign minister Stephen Doughty on Good Morning Britain about Andy Burnham saying Russia interfered in the Brexit referendum. Susanna Reid grows increasingly frustrated as he refuses to answer her questions, and even Ed Balls eventually tears into him for the “embarrassing waffle”. Doughty is asked again and again about the Prime Minister’s claims but he just keeps ignoring the questions and repeating the same empty line: that Russia has been attempting to interfere with our democratic processes for many years. Susanna tries to force him onto the 2016 vote itself. She asks what Russia actually did, whether it influenced voters, and whether it affected the result. He refuses to give any specifics and just repeats the line. When she asks “Why are you not getting into specifics when the Prime Minister has just got into the specifics?”, he claims Burnham was only speaking more broadly. She keeps pressing. He keeps repeating the line like a robot. She asks if the Prime Minister was wrong. Doughty: “The PM has been very clear about Russian attempts to interfere in our democratic processes.” By now Susanna is openly angry and accuses him of “muddying the waters not clarifying them”. He almost laughably says the same thing again. He isn’t listening. He might as well have come on just to read a statement. Susanna points out that if the result of such a huge decision was influenced, the public deserves answers about what the interference actually was. Doughty claims the PM only said “attempted to interfere”. Susanna cuts in immediately: “He doesn’t say ‘attempted to interfere!’” They play Burnham’s actual comments. Doughty goes straight back to the identical line. Susanna tries one final time. Same response. It is at this point that Ed Balls, clearly fed up, lays into him: “This is EMBARRASSING. It’s really bad for politics when you just blatantly don’t answer the question on something so important and go back to a nonsensical line, which is contradicted by what the Prime Minister just said!” He goes further: “Either answer Susanna’s question or just say I’m not going to. This waffle is embarrassing!” Doughty: “It’s not waffle at all Ed!” Then repeats the line yet again. It is waffle, and I never thought I’d say this but well done Ed Balls for bluntly calling him out. It was embarrassing. Andy Burnham should never have said it. We’ve been through all this. Russia did not in any way, shape or form influence the outcome of that referendum. Dragging this nonsense back up is reckless and a disgrace.

NEVILLE AND CARRAGHER TEAR INTO “SHAM” PREMIER LEAGUE AND DEMAND ACTION NOW! Carragher: It’s FAKE. Neville: I DON’T WANT to commentate! The Premier League is in CRISIS! On the Gary Neville Podcast, the pair pulled no punches as they tore into the Premier League’s handling of the Man City situation, warning that the league’s credibility is crumbling in real time. Carragher says allowing Man City to carry on as normal is killing the league’s credibility. It casts suspicion over the whole Premier League, exactly like the Italian league after the Calciopoli scandal, where match-fixing and referee corruption saw Juventus stripped of titles and relegated, with the damage lasting for years. Carragher: “We’ve got these eyes on us from all over the world asking is this real? Is this fake?” Neville went further and said he doesn’t even want to commentate on City’s games anymore. “This is a real problem for the Premier League right now.” The Premier League needs to act now. Every game that passes hits their credibility. Yesterday’s match was a farce — carrying on like nothing has happened and it’s business as usual. No one takes it seriously. The league is a joke and the authorities need to get a grip. This cannot continue. The fans are furious. When Carragher is calling it fake and Neville doesn’t even want to commentate, this is a full-blown crisis.

🔥 A FURIOUS Piers Morgan goes SCORCHED EARTH on Manchester City and the Premier League! Piers Morgan spoke for football fans across the country who are watching their sport be turned into a FARCE. On tonight’s Sports Uncensored he was boiling with RAGE. And he was absolutely right! “This is state sponsored cheating on a scale we’ve never seen before AND they’ve been found GUILTY!” “Yesterday was a joke. We’re all watching this game thinking is this even gonna count? It is an absolute farce! It makes the Premier League look ridiculous.” Simon Jordan spent the show bizarrely defending them. It felt like pure contrarianism — there is simply no defence left. An independent commission has already found them guilty of the serious breaches. The appeal changes nothing about the fact that English football is currently being hollowed out in plain sight. Oliver Holt was equally scathing after watching City strut around Anfield: “The City players are running around at Anfield as if they’re at the start of some redemption story, as if they’re the victims in all this.” “Yesterday felt like watching Lance Armstrong riding through at the head of the peloton AFTER he’d been found guilty of multiple doping offences. It was a weird, unpleasant, unpalatable sight.” Exactly. It was grotesque. Oliver Holt finished by warning that the football brand is now deeply damaged and tainted, and that this is becoming a serious problem for the television companies, especially Sky. Piers and Ollie are bang on the money. The longer this drags on, the more toxic it gets. Every single game City play while this hangs over them further stains the English game and wrecks its credibility. This will snowball. Something has to be done or the entire Premier League ends up looking like a joke.

Jill Scott hit a new low on The Overlap this week. The others don’t even pretend to take her seriously anymore. They just laugh. Lawyer Paul Gilroy was breaking down the City charges and the appeal, saying the chair of the appeal board will almost certainly be a very senior figure — “a Lord or a Sir somebody”. Up pops Jill, serious face, serious question: “Do they check which football team they support? 🤦♂️ Gilroy: “Every member of the panel has to make a declaration, before the case begins.” Cue outright laughter from the rest of the desk, Carra especially. 😂 Gilroy then just mocks her: “Jill Scott’s application to be on the appeal board is… rejected.” 😭 She sits there looking sheepish. It’s getting cruel at this point. We get a clip like this every single week. Make it stop!

Gary Neville has just sounded the alarm at Old Trafford: the fans are turning on this Manchester United side at a frightening speed, and the boos are already ringing out. Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast, he says he doesn’t believe they’re directed at Michael Carrick himself, but at the players and the ownership. What United supporters refuse to tolerate is a basic lack of energy and effort: “I don’t think the boos are against Michael Carrick for one minute but what I would say is that they’re turning quite quickly. Manchester United fans are incredibly loyal. Beyond loyal to their managers and to their players. But what they won’t accept is a lack of energy. They won’t accept a lack of effort.” “The reality of it is, they’re not running enough. They’re not showing enough tenacity, determination, fighting spirit. They’re just not.” Even Neville’s 16-year-old daughter texted him at half-time asking “what’s that?” His reply said it all: “You can’t kid and con a football fan, no matter who they are.” This is becoming a pattern of embarrassment. The players let managers down time and again. They let the fans down time and again. No running. No fight. No determination. These are the absolute basics, and they should be ashamed to have them levelled at them so repeatedly. The owners aren’t off the hook either, far from it. They need to go. They’ve wrecked this club. But that is no excuse for the players failing to do the simplest things required of a Manchester United side, no matter who is in charge.

Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards CLASHED over Manchester City’s guilty verdict, and Carragher was right to get annoyed. Micah is still in denial — the same denial a lot of ex-players and fans are stuck in. They keep treating the charges as if they’re still “allegations” or just “accusations.” They’re not. An independent commission has already found Manchester City guilty. That’s a fact. On CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️, Carragher correctly pointed out the reality: “Right now they’re guilty. They’ve been found guilty.” Micah pushed back with “it’s accusations”. Carragher, clearly frustrated, angrily fired back: “IT’S NOT ACCUSATIONS! THEY’VE BEEN FOUND GUILTY!” The process took years. The club faced 115 charges of systematically breaching financial rules over the best part of a decade. They were found guilty on 114 of them. Blatant, deliberate cheating. Yes, City are appealing. They insist they’re innocent and that the decision is flawed. That is their right. But an appeal does not wipe the slate clean in the meantime. As things stand, they have been found guilty as charged. The status is guilty until and unless that is overturned. Pretending it’s still open or merely “allegations” or “accusations” is just refusing to accept what’s already been decided.

🫣 Andrew Neil dismantles Labour’s Jonathan Reynolds in one of the most embarrassing moments of the year for the Business Secretary. You’d think they’d know better, especially sat next to Andrew Neil — the best political journalist in the country, and better than just about anyone with stats, figures and detail. Reynolds is on BBC Question Time boasting about the changes his government has made to get people off benefits and into work. Neil stops him in his tracks: “Hold on. Your own official forecasts, the Office for Budget Responsibility, under the policies you’ve just talked about, show a relentless rise in the numbers claiming sickness benefit.” Reynolds is already beginning to panic. He doubles down: “But the incentives have been changed. The amount of money you get has been changed.” Neil: “Well it doesn’t matter if the numbers are still rising.” That’s when Reynolds’ brain leaves the building. He says something that makes absolutely no sense given what Neil has just revealed: “People talk about what they would like to do and what they would do with a system they left behind and then didn’t change. That’s the kind of substantial change that actually makes a difference.” Can these politicians actually hear themselves? Does he know what he’s saying in response to what he’s just been told? It’s incredible. Neil is totally baffled by what he’s listening to: “What substantial change have you made if the sickness numbers are still rising?” Reynolds is now just digging in because he’s got nowhere to go: “If you remove the incentive for people to go straight onto that system, rather than being on universal credit…” Neil cuts in with another reality check: “But the OBR forecast takes that policy into account and it still shows the numbers rising year after year after year, as does the bill. So what are you doing to make things better?” Reynolds refuses to acknowledge what Neil is saying and just repeats the same things again. Painful. They really are absolutely clueless. They think they can just deliver the talking points and no one will notice. That doesn’t work when you’re sat next to Andrew Neil. Imagine when they told him the seating plan and he realised who was sitting next to him. 😬😂

🚨HEARTBREAKING BOMBSHELL FROM DIDDLY SQUAT: JEREMY CLARKSON REVEALS HE HAS CANCER 😢 In the final two episodes of Clarkson’s Farm Season 5, Jeremy Clarkson shares some truly devastating personal news. Jeremy is in his office discussing the farm harvest with Charlie and Kaleb Cooper when he breaks off mid-sentence, leans back in his seat, and quietly reveals the devastating news: “I’ve got cancer.” A stunned Kaleb asks where. Jeremy replies it’s not something he wants to detail publicly, but he’s known since May after a medical, followed by a biopsy. It’s aggressive but caught early. He hoped to finish the harvest before treatment, but it’s hitting right in the middle. Kaleb wipes away tears and says: "Look after yourself, you go and do…if you need anything just ring." Later, with the full team (including Lisa, Charlie and Gerald), he reflects on the tough year: starting with heart issues and ending with this. In the closing moments, we see him back in a hospital bed: “So we started season five with me in a hospital bed and we are at the end of season five and I’m back in a hospital bed. Some of the treatment has gone awry, let’s say, I'm going to be here for a little while. I'm nil by mouth, i dont know whats going to happen. If this is all successful I’ll see you for season six and if it isn’t I won’t. Take care everyone.” It’s an incredibly raw, emotional watch from a man who’s usually full of bluster and humour. Thoughts with you, Jezza. 💔 I’m sure you’ll pull through! 💪

This made me laugh. Sophy Ridge asked Lucy Powell a question about the triple lock on Ridge & Frost. Powell did what politicians always do: ignored it completely and started rambling about something else. Normally presenters just let them get away with it and move on. Ridge never does. She sat there patiently, let her talk, then pounced: “Did you hear what the question was?” 😂😭 Powell looked stunned, stuttered, and nodded, “Yeah.” Well why not bloody answer it then!? Drives me mad when they do this. Even worse when interviewers don’t call it out. Sophy always does, to be fair to her.

🤯 Listen to this extraordinary exchange between Camilla Tominey and Labour’s Health Secretary James Murray. It is genuinely jaw-dropping. Camilla: “You’re quite pro-trans, aren’t you? Do you think a woman can have a penis? Because you did previously?” Murray: “No, I don’t.” Camilla: “So you’ve changed your mind?” Murray: “Yes.” Camilla: “Why?” Murray stumbles. He says he’s been thinking about the issue over recent years and would not now say trans women are women. Camilla hits back: “You must have known that before. You are very well educated. How on earth can you have previously thought that a woman can have a penis?” He had no real answer. Because there isn’t one. This is not some backbench MP. This is the Secretary of State for Health, the man responsible for the entire NHS, puberty blocker policy, women’s health services, and child safeguarding. He spent years either believing or pretending to believe that biological sex is fluid and that women can have penises. Only now, when the Cass Review, court rulings, and public opinion have made that position politically toxic, has he magically “changed his mind”. Think about the damage done while he held that view. The eroded women’s rights. The confused children fast-tracked toward hormones and surgery. The female prisoners and athletes forced to share spaces with biological males. All enabled or ignored by senior Labour figures like him. This level of ideological delusion at the very top of government is not just embarrassing, it is dangerous. Basic biology should never have been up for debate, let alone something a Health Secretary had to “evolve” on.

Owen Jones’s appearance on Piers Morgan is a masterclass in ideological dishonesty. He defends Sharia law while insisting the real problem for “queer Muslims” isn’t the doctrine itself. It’s those hateful Brits who “weaponise their plight” by pointing out the obvious conflict. His exact words: “I speak to queer Muslims, which I think is quite important to do because they’re erased from the conversation. They feel deeply frustrated that in a country where anti-Muslim prejudice and bigotry has got worse and worse, is that their plight is weaponised, not by people who want to advance LGBTQ rights but people who want to demonise Muslims as a whole.” Absolute weapon-grade nonsense. You cannot seriously claim to defend “queer Muslims” while downplaying or whitewashing Sharia. Under classical Sharia rulings (the ones still applied in multiple Muslim-majority countries and taught in many orthodox circles), same-sex acts are a major sin. Depending on the school of jurisprudence and the evidence required, the prescribed punishments include flogging, imprisonment, or death. That is not some fringe invention. It’s the traditional legal position. “Queer Muslims” who live under or are influenced by those interpretations face real pressure, family rejection, and in extreme cases violence. Pretending the main threat to them is “anti-Muslim bigotry” from people pointing out this contradiction is self-serving deflection of the highest order. Jones is doing the classic progressive two-step: shield the ideology, then smear anyone who notices the conflict as bigots. Clown. 🤡

A FURIOUS Nick Ferrari took the Minister for Women, Bridget Phillipson, to task on LBC this morning over the early release scheme. The Met is dealing with more than 100 tag breaches a day in London, and is rearresting two or three early-release offenders a week. Ferrari put it plainly: “The early release scheme needs an urgent review. It’s not working, is it?” She gave the usual spin. They didn’t want to do it, but if they hadn’t, the prison system would have collapsed. Then she said: “I want people who commit violent crimes against women and sexual crimes against women to go to prison and to stay there for a long time.” Ferrari: “But they’re not!” She blamed the Tories, insisted there was no choice, and claimed strict controls are in place. Ferrari again: “But they’re not working! There are 100 breaches a day in the Met area. So they’re not working.” She wasn’t listening. This is the Minister for Women, on national radio, defending the release of violent criminals, knowing many have already reoffended, and many more will. Women will be harmed because of this, and she is defending it. Disgraceful. Ferrari then raised the case of Robert Sabat, released last October and, within days, responsible for stabbing his former partner, Dickiesha Nurse, to death. “These are the sort of people that are being released,” he told her. “I do think that you need to speak to your colleagues in the Justice Department and Home Office and get this sorted.” They won’t. Even after a case like that, they don’t bat an eyelid. They carry on anyway.

Nick Ferrari rightly tells a Green Party member to focus on local issues, not Gaza! In a heated exchange with Green member Fahima Mohamed on LBC, Ferrari cut through the noise on the party’s “Zionism is racism” motion and what the Greens actually represent: “Local authorities are about providing books in libraries and making sure that the streets are swept and safe. It’s not about taking positions in the Middle East if you’re running Ealing borough council, is it?” Exactly. No, it isn’t. Councils exist to deliver basic services for the people who live there. Things like clean streets, libraries, housing, bin collections, community safety. Not foreign-policy declarations on conflicts thousands of miles away. You can hold a view on the Middle East; that’s not the point. The priority for a party running or seeking to run local government should be the residents who pay the council tax and use the services. With the Greens, that priority is clearly elsewhere. The party has become synonymous with Palestine. Ferrari then pressed her on the motion itself: “You do see it as antisemitic, don’t you?” She denied it. He pointed out the practical consequence for Jewish colleagues and friends is that they could face disciplinary action simply for attending synagogue. Her response: “I don’t believe that is true.” Ferrari: “It is true! The Prime Minister is right when he says this is antisemitic.” Her reply: “No it’s not antisemitic. We’re not here to punish Jewish people in any way.” The problem is that the conference vote did the opposite of reassuring people. The motion passed (1,022 to 813), declaring Zionism a form of racism to be treated like any other, supporting a single Palestinian state across historic Palestine, and rejecting an amendment intended to protect Jewish members from pressure or discipline linked to synagogue or communal affiliation. Jewish members have described feeling betrayed; some were left in tears. The party’s own senior figures had already flagged the damage. Deputy leader Rachel Millward called the wording “problematic” and said she would not vote for the unamended version. Former leader Caroline Lucas warned it was divisive and risked signalling that Jewish people are not welcome. Even by the Greens’ standards, this was a self-inflicted, damaging mess. Plenty of people inside the party know it and have said so publicly. It has exposed deep divisions between the conference activists and much of the parliamentary and leadership group, and it has handed critics a clear example of priorities that look detached from the day-to-day concerns of British voters. Local councils are not the place for this. The party has lost the plot.
