I have worked in multiple nursing homes as an occupational therapist assistant for over 15 years and sad to say it is always the skinny frail that end up passing away. We as humans need extra padding for when we get sick because that is healthy it is what helps us when we are fighting health issues. I will never forget talking to this woman who was 98 years old and she was 121 pounds thinking she was fat and telling me she needed to lose weight. She said she had 4 brothers and 3 sisters and they had all passed away and she was all alone. This made me so sad for her.
