You can use Deep Lake to build AI search with reasoning on your private and public data. (Look at the attached videos to get an idea of how it works.) If you want to research proprietary and sensitive data, Deep Research won't help you because it's limited to public data. Deep Lake, however, will allow you to use your private data. On top of that, Deep Lake supports multi-modal retrieval from the ground up. Unique footage has emerged showing remote control of interceptor... drones. The 190th Training Center of the SBS reportedly used a drone-interceptor to shoot down a Shahed UAV remotely, with the pilot located at a significant distance from the launch site. The system used was LITAVR, developed by FDrones. According to the company, an operator can control the interceptor from hundreds of kilometers away from the launch point. The F7 LITAVR is already a well-known and highly effective system. As a reminder, here are the technical details (this is all open-source information): Development of the system began in autumn 2024. It was successfully tested and officially adopted in summer 2025. Serial production and deliveries to the military started in autumn 2025. Maximum speed: 350 km/h Flight time: up to 15 minutes Equipped with two cameras: daytime and thermal imaging The officially stated tactical range is 36 km, though in practice it can reach up to 60 km and operate at altitudes of up to 9.5 km. The warhead (separately codified) weighs 500 g. Detonation can occur via kinetic impact, self-destruction upon contact with the target, or manual activation by the operator. The system uses inertial guidance without GPS and features automatic terminal guidance (“last mile” / target lock system). At present, it reportedly destroys hundreds of targets per week, including Shaheds, Gerberas, Molniyas, Orlans, Lancets, and others. What is fundamentally new? Until now, mobile air defense fire groups and frontline crews using interceptor drones required a qualified pilot on-site. It has now been successfully demonstrated that a different tactic is possible: pilots can operate from protected, remote locations. Wow! Send A File By Just The Camera! A... vibe coder used AI to build a file transfer system that sends data between two phones using only a screen and a camera. One phone displays a new type of animated QR codes while the other scans them to rebuild the file, with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cables needed. It is fully optical and local. The system uses fountain codes that create each QR frame as a random mix of file data. This keeps transfers working even if some frames are missed, reaching speeds of about 129 KB/s for a 2 MB image. The entire project was built in one night and released as open source. The idea came from a music project where the developer wanted to share MP3 files without streaming or using the same network. Another night, another long arc east… London Heathrow Airport... to Hong Kong 🇭🇰, the Airbus A350 settling into cruise while the world slides quietly beneath us. Lately there’s been plenty of noise about GPS jamming and spoofing, so here’s the calm, practical version from the flight deck. Jamming is simply interference, other electronic noise overwhelming the GPS signal so a receiver can’t hear it properly. Spoofing is more mischievous, that’s nefarious actors broadcasting a false signal that tries to convince the receiver it’s somewhere it isn’t. Both can be inconvenient. Neither is new. And neither is a show-stopper for modern aviation. Airliners were navigating oceans long before satellites were part of the picture, using inertial reference systems, radio navigation aids, dead reckoning, time, distance, and a healthy respect for cross-checks. Today’s aircraft layer all of that together. If one element like the GPS becomes unreliable, the system doesn’t panic, it recognises it swiftly, dumps it, and reverts to one of the other systems. Crews verify, cross-reference, and carry on. That’s the quiet strength of modern aviation and aircraft, redundancy and judgement. No single sensor gets a veto. No single failure defines the outcome. The airplane doesn’t need GPS to fly safely; it uses it when it’s trustworthy and ignores it when it isn’t. From the cabin, the night looks serene. From the flight deck, it’s deliberate, systems monitored, assumptions questioned, margins protected. Just as it’s always been. 🇮🇱Elbit Systems is developing an airborne high-power laser interception... system as the next generation of air defense following the Iron Beam. The system is planned to be installed on fighter aircraft or helicopters and will be able to intercept incoming missiles and drones outside Israel’s airspace. The latest loophole that third-party file manager apps were... using to get access to files and folders under /Android/data and /Android/obb has been patched. As part of Android 11's Scoped Storage restrictions, apps that use the Storage Access Framework (SAF) to launch the documents picker are not supposed to be able to get access to files and folders under the /Android/data or /Android/obb directories. However, third-party file managers figured out that if they set the initial directory when launching the documents picker to either /Android/data or /Android/obb, the documents picker lets the user grant the app full access to directories. This loophole was patched in Android 13, but then another loophole was discovered that got around this. Since Android 13 only blocked apps from setting /Android/data or /Android/obb as the initial directory when launching the documents picker, it was quickly discovered that you could set the initial directory to one of the subdirectories under /Android/data or /Android/obb, thus the user could grant access to individual subdirectories one-by-one. However, this latest loophole was patched with a recent Google Play System Update. The latest version of the DocumentsUI app, the Project Mainline module that comprises the documents picker, now restricts the initial location for the ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT/_TREE intent so that apps cannot request the initial location to be one of /Android/data, /Android/sandbox, /Android/obb, or one of their subdirectories. If the DocumentsUI app (AKA 'Files' app) on your device is on version 14-10492947 (version code 340916000), then this loophole is patched.show more

What is the RAT? The RAT is a small... wind turbine stowed within the aircraft fuselage and deployed automatically when certain failure conditions are met. Once extended into the airstream, it uses the forward motion of the aircraft to spin and generate power—mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical. Primary Functions of the RAT on the 787-8 1. Hydraulic Backup Power On deployment, the RAT drives a variable displacement inline hydraulic pump. It pressurizes the center hydraulic system, enabling continued operation of critical flight control surfaces such as the ailerons, elevators, and rudder. This is vital in maintaining aircraft controllability if normal hydraulic sources are lost. 2. Supplementary Electrical Power While the RAT is primarily a hydraulic power source on the 787-8, it can also, in some configurations, drive an emergency generator. This generator provides sufficient AC and DC power to support essential avionics, flight displays, and communications systems. Deployment Scenarios: When Does the RAT Automatically Deploy? The RAT on the Boeing 787-8 deploys automatically—without crew input—under the following emergency conditions: 1. *** SEGA GENESIS/MEGADRIVE - SCALING PART 1 *** I've... been exploring software scaling on the 68k cpu using a background layer rather than scaling sprites. There are a few advantages, no sprite boundaries to worry about so moving pixels is faster also cheaper vertical scaling by adjusting vertical scroll midscreen. The net result is you can manage larger scales more efficiently as the CPU can spend more time working on the horizontal scaling whilst the VDP helps with the vertical scaling (there is still a non trivial cpu cost there though). Here I'm scaling an early image of the Lufthoheit logo - but the goal is to use this in the game also for very large scales / either background effects or bosses. The scaler and Interupt handler are written in Assembly for speed and I think could be faster yet with some optimisations, word alignment moves etc. The scaler has the ability to expand > full screen in height (from a more limited base height) and up to 3x the image width at present. I need to add double buffering and possibly go a bit larger yet. I'm excited to get these effects into the game as large scaling effects we didn't often see on the Genesis !
