Nano is a depth-aware atmospheric haze plugin that uses... ML depth estimation to add physically accurate fog and light scattering to your footage. Works *best* on log footage with visible light sources - it analyzes scene highlights then creates airlight (atmospheric scatter) and halation (light bloom) that responds to actual depth in the scene. Pretty clever approach to getting that cinematic haze look without having to pump a fog machine on set. Makes the OG Trapcode Shine look extremely dated (basically 2D light streaks masked by luminance values), and is yet way more controllable than the current crop of generative AI video-to-video tools.show more

Uhaul plowing into a crowd of anti-Khameini protestors This man should never have been able to get near the crowd with a uhaul but some info about the situation seem to be - signage on the truck is anti both the shah and the current ayatollah. is this his actual position or is this camouflage to have gotten into the protest to perpetrate an attack? "no Shah, No regime, No Mullah" Mullah is a religious leader so possibly referring to the current leader and not a king like Pahlavi Timeline appears to be - anti-Khameini protestors try to rip signs off his vehicle and are bashing on the windows and eventually his passenger side window is broken - guy in uhaul then stutterstops forward into the crowd, eventually accelerating further, then stuttering again, then full stopping down the road - there is a man surfing on top of the uhaul in the 3rd video, below I have posted another video showing the man on top of the uhaul trying to take the posters off the side, so he is likely part of the anti-Khameini protestors - uhaul driver is taken into custody by police is this a case of police not having the street sufficiently blocked off and so a guy was able to get a uhaul in here? Star Wars pioneered so many special effects that we... take for granted today. When filming the destruction of Alderaan in Star Wars, the effects team at Industrial Light & Magic used a surprisingly simple practical effect. The planet was a painted sphere suspended in front of a black backdrop. To create the explosion, they rigged the miniature with pyrotechnics and filmed it with high-speed cameras at a faster frame rate so the blast would appear massive and cinematic when slowed down. One interesting detail is that the explosion was partially achieved using gasoline and powdered cement. The cement gave the blast a heavier, planetary look rather than a quick fireball. Because the miniature exploded outward so quickly, the slowed footage helped sell the illusion of an entire planet tearing apart in space. A disturbing interview with double murderer Jaime Osuna, who... was imprisoned for the 2011 murder of Yvette Pena. In 2019, Osuna decapitated and dissected the body of his cellmate, Luis Romero, with a makeshift knife. Using a razor-style blade attached to a handle, Osuna disfigured Romero, cutting out one of his eyes, chopping off one of his fingers and removing part of his ribs and slicing out part of his lung. He ultimately cut off his head. He also posed the body, slicing Romero’s face open on either side of his mouth to resemble an extended smile, according to an autopsy.
